Artist ELST942 9-42 Electric Guitar Nickel Strings Super Light Gauge
The Artist ELST942 are our lightest Electric Guitar nickel strings, making them perfect for lightning-fast licks and big bends. They would also be a more comfortable solution to the factory-fitted 10-46s, as the lighter tension will be easier on the hands while playing. The strings have been individually sealed to ensure the string-changing process is as easy as possible.

We use Courier services to ship our goods to you as fast as possible. Once the package leaves our warehouse the time to your door depends on your location, and any reported delays in your area.
We ship all orders for free. All deliveries are insured so if an item arrives damaged we'll happily refund or replace it for you. Check our warranty page for more information.
Purchases with Artist Guitars come with a 3-year Warranty. Warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and in the original country of purchase. Please take note of your order number to help us verify your purchase in the event of a warranty claim.
If the issue can be fixed by replacing a part, we will send it to you free of charge. Spare parts are shipped from our office in Sydney, Australia. If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.
Also included in your warranty is our industry leading 100 Days Change of Mind Policy
If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of any of our products, we'll be happy to arrange a free return of your product for an exchange or full refund, including any shipping charges. This also covers instances where you may have bought the wrong size or if you simply change your mind.
If you do require a return, just Open a Support Ticket and we'll either send you a reply paid label for Australia Post or arrange for a collection by courier. This will depend on your location and the product you purchased. If you have any trouble you can contact us.

Affordable and each string is individually bagged in plastic. the G, B, E, Strings, (Thinner Strings.) are longer which is convenient for Fender style necks, The Artist strings are effortless to bend and feel great under the fingers. On my Artist 58T semi hollow DIY Guitar Acoustically they are Bright and clear and under Electrification Rock so hard you will have to change your underpants. Best strings ever.

A Jingle Jangle Morning
I needed new strings for my Artist STPKCA and thought I'd try these super light gauge strings for a change. They're easy on the fingers and produce a sharper tone with much more upper end than the regular strings I replaced. They have a nice "jingle jangle" quality that took a while to get used to but which I really like. They're worth a try if you're looking for that sort of tone.

My young lad who is really still a beginner happens to be a massive Yngwie Malmsteem fan and really wanted a set of his signature strings which are 40 + dollars and are so not in my opinion worth that sort of coin when starting out. I've bought quite a few items from Artist Guitars and trust their quality in relation to price and as it was time to give the SX Strat a birthday I picked up a set of the 9 to 42's and after a good clean and adjustment installed them, tuned her to Eb and it feels great, is easy to play and bend and will totally do the job for probably this whole year or so. Stringing Me Along
Have bought these strings before and this will make the fourth set I've . Used the 10-46s twice and have gone down to 9-42s after surgery on the fretting hand. Both gauges have shown themselves to be reliable and I have not broken any strings or had any failures. The tone is bright and I find I'm using the tone knobs on my Strat more which is easy enough. I've found they tune up and hold tune consistently even with vibrato use as good as any other brands I've used on a Strat with the trem up and floating as Leo intended. I don't gig any more but the tone seems to last fairly well . I'll use them again!

I have been using 'budget Chinese' strings for years. I would rather change strings more often if necessary. Been really happy with that so far. So how much better are the Artist strings? Can't be much different - right? Happy to report that I think the Artist strings are a step up. I've also been a 10's guy for ages. If you saw the YouTube discussion on 'Are 9's better?' - I'm thinkin' that there might be something in that too. But give these a go. Looks like the best bang for buck to me. When the alternative is 2 or 3 times the price per set & some of the established brands react with my hands & tarnish after a week, I doubt you will be unhappy with the Artist strings.

I accidentally bought a set of 9-42 strings ages back, and as I live out of town thought I'd just fit them as a stop gap. Well that was that! I loved them, and now fit them to all my guitars. I am not rich by any means, so I thought that I'd give these Artist strings a go, they seem fine so far, admittedly it's only been a week, but hey, $20 for four packs. Bargain! Give them a try. I see they have a new 10-46 supplier, maybe those of us who are converted to lighter strings might get lucky too?

I've been an Ernie Ball string user for years, but I thought I'd try Artist brand strings as a fairly low-cost experiment. Out of the packet, I was unable to notice any significant difference from my usual strings. On the guitar, I was unable to notice any significant difference in tone. As far as I can tell, these seem to be perfectly serviceable strings and I intend to continue using them instead of the more expensive brands.

Bought these strings to try against other well known brands. Because they are so reasonably priced I really didn't expect too much of them. Well, to my surprise, they are actually very good. Feel great under finger and hold tune just fine. I cannot see any reason why these strings will not last just as long as any other brand I use. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this product and the service that Artist Guitars provides is second to none.
