Artist RS10EQ Sunburst Resonator Guitar w/ Pickup
Introducing the Artist RS10EQ Resonator, a vintage-voiced blues box built to growl, sing, and slide with attitude! If you’ve been chasing that unmistakable metallic snap of a classic resonator, the RS10EQ delivers it in spades. With a single-cone, spider bridge design, this guitar is made for players who want a brash, rockin' sound that cuts through with clarity and punch. Whether you're fingerpicking old-time standards or laying down greasy bottleneck licks, it responds with warmth, volume and plenty of character.
The body is built with laminated Nato back and sides and a Nato top capped with a Basswood veneer, giving it a balanced voice with tight low end and strong projection. The neck is a scarfed C-shape design made from Nato, topped with a Purple Heart fingerboard featuring a comfortable 14-inch radius. With a 25-inch scale length and 19 medium jumbo frets, it handles both traditional slide work and standard fretting with ease.
At the heart of the RS10EQ is a ceramic humbucker pickup rated at 10.2k ohms. It captures the raw, dynamic tone of the resonator and translates it beautifully when amplified, making it just as comfortable on stage as it is on the front porch. The saddle and bridge are built as a one-piece unit, with a maple top and purpleheart base, similar to the design used on banjos. This adds a touch of snap and sustain while keeping everything tight and resonant.
Chrome-plated tuners keep things solid up top, and the 43mm bone nut offers excellent string vibration transfer for improved sustain and clarity across all six strings. The RS10EQ comes strung with D’Addario EXP16 coated strings straight out of the box. Purchases with Artist Guitars come with a 3-year Warranty. Warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and in the original country of purchase. Please take note of your order number to help us verify your purchase in the event of a warranty claim.
If the issue can be fixed by replacing a part, we will send it to you free of charge. Spare parts are shipped from our office in Sydney, Australia. If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.
Also included in your warranty is our industry leading 100 Days Change of Mind Policy
If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of any of our products, we'll be happy to arrange a free return of your product for an exchange or full refund, including any shipping charges. This also covers instances where you may have bought the wrong size or if you simply change your mind.
If you do require a return, just Open a Support Ticket and we'll either send you a reply paid label for Australia Post or arrange for a collection by courier. This will depend on your location and the product you purchased. If you have any trouble you can contact us.

Really love this little beauty - spending most of my spare time playing open D slide - love it! Well made and set up for a very reasonable price. Very well finished if a little heavy but you’d expect that from a solidly built resonator - slightly smaller size helps with weight issue. I sold my Dobro last year and felt some pangs of remorse. When I saw Brett's review I though I would give it a go, especially given the great experience I have had with Artist over the last few years. I did not believe that they would be able to deliver to Forster within 24 hours, as they said when I ordered, but they did. It plays well out of the box and is even better than I expected. The pickup is an added bonus. Artist do the little things that add to the product, such as adding a strap button on the body. Hard to go past Artist for service.

Great sounding for a wood resonator guitar, i had tried a wood resonator from gretch, and the sound difference is minimal to my ears. The pickup surpisingly sounds great . What a great instrument. For starters, the delivery was ahead of the anticipated time. Straight out of the box it looked stunning and then there is the sound, tone and playability. As expected and as a guitar designed for use as a slide guitar, the action is a little higher than my other Maton accoustic guitars and the strings a little heavier, typical slide guitar set up. I could make some changes BUT this isn't needed as the whole package is so good and I have the flexibility to play by strumming, finger picking or use the slide. The fiinish in all areas is excellent, including no nasty sharp edges to the frets plus it feels great to handle. I've tuned it to open G and had a friend around yesterday. I couldn't get it back from him!

The package clearly took a beating on its way to me, with two chunks out of the back of the box and one through the double-layer side. Thankfully, the only damage to the guitar itself seems to be cosmetic - a chip out of the headstock finish that should clear up with some superglue and very gentle sanding. Finish is otherwise okay. The guitar arrived fairly well set up, and sounds superb both acoustically and through the humbucker. I'll mostly be using this for slide, but am holding off on adding a nut lifter too soon, as it's a versatile guitar and a pleasure to play. Incredible value for the price - it feels and sounds like it cost a lot more. A few of my other guitars are going to get a bit dusty for a while, I think! Worth noting there is no piezo pickup – no problem for me as I can't stand the things, but I suppose if might be a factor for some people.
