The AS72 is back and better than ever! With an upgraded set of Alnico V HSS pickups, as well as a bit of a facelift, the AS72V2 might look and sound a little different to its predecessor, but it's every bit the guitar you know and love - revamped!
The Artist AS72V2 comes bounding through time, from the paddocks of Woodstock 1969 into your waiting hands - but not without a quick stop off to catch up with the times! We painstakingly aged the vintage-style nitrocellulose finish on these, adding a scar here and a gash there to give your brand-new guitar that well-loved look. The roasted maple satin neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard, a material becoming rarer by the day within the worldwide guitar market. The 14" fingerboard radius allows for super low action and effortless bends, while glow-in-the-dark fret markers on the side of the neck map the fretboard on even the darkest of pub stages.
Having tested untold amounts of pickup options, we settled on a set of vintage output, high-end Alnico V single coils, paired with a blistering hot Alnico V bridge humbucker, truly giving you the best of both worlds! This one delivers those gorgeous chiming, edge-of-breakup tones, as well as glorious snarl and chunky riffage with equal aplomb! Every detail has been pored over with this one - a bone nut, copper foil shielding, a wheeled string tree and locking strap buttons are among a host of features that make this your perfect modern instrument!
