NUX Horseman Mini Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal
The Klon Centaur Overdrive pedal was one of the most sought after Overdrive Pedals in the '90s. It was a transparent overdrive know for its transparent tone, adding gain to the signal without altering the tone output.
With the Horseman 2 in 1 Overdrive, there would no longer be the need to spend a lot nor to have to search for the limited Klon Centaur. It features 2 modes: Gold and Silver. The Gold Mode mimics the transparent tone which is predecessor is known for and the Silver Mode for the powered version with an extended gain range.
The circuitry of the Horseman will allow you to get more harmonics in your tone and acting either as a boost to your clean tone or to give you that natural distorted tone. The Gain Knob also acts as a double potentiometer which controls the bass and middle frequencies
The Horseman also has an optional bypass mode. You can choose between True Bypass to keep your signal untouched when the pedal is off or Buffer Bypass to have no signal loss especially if you are using more than 4 pedals.

We ship all orders for free. All deliveries are insured so if an item arrives damaged we'll happily refund or replace it for you. Check our warranty page for more information.
Purchases with Artist Guitars come with a 3-year Warranty. Warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and in the original country of purchase. Please take note of your order number to help us verify your purchase in the event of a warranty claim.
If the issue can be fixed by replacing a part, we will send it to you free of charge. Spare parts are shipped from our office in Sydney, Australia. If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.
Also included in your warranty is our industry leading 100 Days Change of Mind Policy
If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of any of our products, we'll be happy to arrange a free return of your product for an exchange or full refund, including any shipping charges. This also covers instances where you may have bought the wrong size or if you simply change your mind.
If you do require a return, just Open a Support Ticket and we'll either send you a reply paid label for Australia Post or arrange for a collection by courier. This will depend on your location and the product you purchased. If you have any trouble you can contact us.

DO NOT BUY THIS PEDAL. SOUND GREAT BUT THEY ARE FA
I bought this pedal in 2022. After about a year when in the true bypass mode the pedal did not work (ie no effect whether turned on or not, just the guitar tone). I had to use it in buffered bypass mode. Now it doesnt work at all regardless of what mode it is in. I'm just out of warranty so can't get a replacement as Artist won't give one out of warranty. If you look online there is a lot written about the failure of these pedals. I like a lot of the other reviewers thought this pedal was great and sounded great but I am sure they will all eventually deal with the same issue and I hope for their sake they are within warranty.

Versatile!
I don't have the real version of the pedal that this snazzy little unit is kloned from, but gee whiz it is a versatile gain pedal in a compact little enclosure. I would absolutely put one of these on every pedalboard I build from now until I'm too old to play guitar. Colour your 'clean' sound just a touch, crunch up your powerchords to the point that would make your favourite punk band envious, or use it to fatten up your other gain pedals when you shred, this little thing can do it all. If you're only looking to purchase one gain pedal (for now), this one is a very good option.

Don’t spend $1,000’s on a Myth. Nux serves up 2 of these Mythical beasts in 1 tiny pedal. At a price anyone can afford. Gold mode is smooth with a light over drive. Silver mode kicks it up a gear giving you more gain & a touch more highs to stick out in the mix. Changing modes is via the foot switch. The LED at the top of the pedal lights up green when in Silver mode. 2 classic over drive versions in the one pedal. & at a great price. Sounds just like the originals. One of my favourite pedals
I bought one of these I bought about 2 years ago, sadly it just stopped. But at this price it was a no brainer to get a replacement. I have way too many overdrive and boost pedals, so I could easily have replaced it with an excellent pedal. But this is one of my favourites. I love to use it in a stack - it just adds a creamy tonal thickness but also has a distinct and pungent spice that it adds to the tone.I have heard it in play outs with the original Klon and I can’t see the difference- especially if tweaked a bit. Value for money, but also simply judged as a pedal on its own it is fantastic,

NUX Horseman rides again
Bloody brilliant pedal for the money. Bought it to use with guitar but sounds good with the bass too. May buy another. Using it to drive the front end of Boss Katana 100 Mkii and was easy to dial in a tone I was happy with. Haven't had a chance to try through a tube amp yet. Artist Guitars have a great ordering system and free delivery is hard to beat, especially being on the other side of the country. I've been fighting with my TS-808/RAT combination since I bought them nearly 40 years ago. I get it right then it goes again. They were Ok when I was young and everything was loud and way overdriven but as I get older I'm searching for more nuance. The Horseman may just be the base for the sound I've been searching for.

Such delicious tones from this little unit. Gold or Silver modes, dials that actually change the feel and tone as you'd expect. Very tasty when combined with the Caline Queen Bee and any Tube Screamer clone. Change the order and work out which combo works best for you!

As usual been looking for that special "tone". I picked up the Horsman knowing NUX have not let me down with there mini pedals yet. It now has place on my main board and has shifted a couple more expensive pedals out because it just does what it does in Gold and Silver (yes gold and silver) modes. Run this into an amp at the point of break up, add a tad of your favourite sauce (delay and reverb in my case) and away you go. Value for money is second to none for the build quality and toneal options. Service from Artist as always is untouchable. This is my 7the NUx mini and no doubt will be getting more from Artist. It's very small, and VERY bright
I've found this pedal is REALLY bright, not something I noticed in all the review & demo videos I've watched. I've used it with a peavey classic 30 and a joyo sweet baby 5 watt amp; with a les paul and a strat. The joyo amp is a warm & dark sounding beastie, especially with the les paul (in a good way, it's a great little amp), and only has a volume control and this pedal really brightens it up. I have the tone on pedal set very low (at about 8 o'clock) and it's still quite bright. But with the gain set around 3 o'clock it drives both my valve amps into a nice breakup. I don't care for the "shine" sound of this thing, just a little too bright with my gear. I've also run it before a few other pedals (big muff, tone bender, tone machine, fuzz face) and it worked will with most to push them a little further. It's only slightly bigger than a little ditto looper (it's tiny) which is cool. I'm happy with it so far, and it's earned itself a place on my pedalboard (bumped a tubescreamer off, which it too mid-heavy for me). If it lives past the warranty period I'll be happy.

You cannot make this pedal sound bad. I absolutely, positively love it. I plugged into my Artist cremetone amp, pressed the pedal and was instantly smiling from ear to ear...then I turned on the Silverado mode and was nearly thrown from my saddle. In all seriousness this pedal is punching miles ahead with its quality, sound, playability and price. This is definitely another outstanding pedal from Nux.

Great bang for buck
I have a few Klon clones, and this one is as good or better than the more expensive pedals. You can use it to boost your signal or increase the gain for some serious overdriven rock tones. It does not take up much space on a pedalboard, and the option of silver/gold modes makes it even better than other similar pedals. I liked it so much, I bought another...and likely a few more for my other pedalboards. The build quality is great too.
