Featured in the Artist ST62 model guitars, the Artist Wrangler single-coil pickups sound great. With staggered Alnico V Rod, the Wranglers produce a warm, vintage 60's style tone which produce crystal clear, glassy clean tones. Add a little overdrive and you'll have a gritty, aggressive tone. Great for any kind of music, the Wrangler single-coil pickup set will breathe new life into your guitar, no matter what make or model.
The set comes with three pickups - a neck pickup, middle pickup and bridge pickup.

Purchases with Artist Guitars come with a 3-year Warranty. Warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and in the original country of purchase. Please take note of your order number to help us verify your purchase in the event of a warranty claim.
If the issue can be fixed by replacing a part, we will send it to you free of charge. Spare parts are shipped from our office in Sydney, Australia. If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.
Also included in your warranty is our industry leading 100 Days Change of Mind Policy
If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of any of our products, we'll be happy to arrange a free return of your product for an exchange or full refund, including any shipping charges. This also covers instances where you may have bought the wrong size or if you simply change your mind.
If you do require a return, just Open a Support Ticket and we'll either send you a reply paid label for Australia Post or arrange for a collection by courier. This will depend on your location and the product you purchased. If you have any trouble you can contact us.

I bought these to replace the pickups in one of my sons guitars. I'm not sure I need to replace them though after checking out his guitar. The other pickups are working fine they just needed adjusting. I'm sure I'll have to make a Strat to put them in though.

WRANGLER- Single Coil Pickups
I have these pickups in some of my Artist guitars [ST62, 3 of them & ST62II, 2 of them - factory installed] so I know of the quality from those. This set is destined to smarten up another guitar that plays well but the amplified sound is in need of some 'Alnico' help. These perform better than you could ask for in a Strat style instrument or even as Squier Strat replacements. VERY true character & they even lean a little towards the 'Texas Hot' style of pickup. Great Set If Pickups
I ordered these Wrangler pickups to use in a Squier Classic Vibe 70s HSS strat project. The original plan was to use the bridge pickup only to replace the humbucker but once I tried out all three pickups in the CV they stayed put. They've replaced the CV Fender designed Alnico V pickups and in my opinion, they sound better! The CV now sounds more strat-like with the Artist Wranglers in than it did with the original Fender designed pickups Squier chose to install. Great pickups!!

Great Stratocaster replacement pickups
This set of Artist single coil pickups are amazing. I've tried a number of different brands, both more expensive and cheaper, and these ones have a crystal clear tone with no shortfall in tone quality, and with correct wiring the background noise is extremely low too (not common with an inexpensive single coil set) . In addition to this their sound character fits perfectly between 60's 'L series' stratocaster vibe and the contemporary sounds. This again is definitely not normally heard in an inexpensive set. So if you're replacing ceramic magnet type pickups or assembling a new guitar definitely go for this set, I think you'll be very happy and you'll have a versatile sound as mentioned in the product description. I bought this set as an upgrade for my Artist DIY kit. They really are amazing sounding pickups. You could definitely fool a purist with these. My only issue is I assumed (silly, I know) that the pickups would be marked Bridge, Middle and Neck but they aren’t. So if you buy these read the description online properly as it explains the order they are packed in. I was too keen to pull them out and have a look. Hopefully I have them the right way around. Great pickups. Highly recommend.

Great replacement pickups
I used these to replace the single coils in my Artist STMVG. What a difference! They're a little hotter, and they really give the great stratty sound I was after. (it's my only SSS guitar). I would totally recommend these as an upgrade for your budget guitar or a guitar build project. You can get classic rock tones, and they clean up very nicely too. If you want to reuse your original pickup covers on the Wranglers, one thing to note is the Wrangler neck pickup is vintage spacing (advised by Artist Guitars). So the pole pieces may be slightly wider than your originals. The pickups themselves were a perfect fit. Another awesome Artist product. Cheers.

Just a short review. They arrived in less than a week via Aus Post with tracking. Packaging is great, pickups clearly marked Neck Middle Bridge. Easy instal and they sound exactly as I had hoped...not too bright with nice jangle. They replaced some very bright powerful ceramics and are really nice pickups. Well worth the small outlay.

Wrangler Pickups
I like to rescue old and neglected guitars, refurbish them and then move them on to their new families. Many budget guitars have good bones, are solid and straight but sound a bit muddy and lack clarity . I have recently installed the Wrangler Single Coil Pickups in a budget strat style guitar and was immediately impressed by the improvement in tone and clarity. The sound is comparable to some of the “name brand” guitars I have. If you are looking for better sound for your SSS guitar these are a no brainer. Also, they are so inexpensive

I've been a guitar tech for many years and seen a lot of gear come and go, IMO these pickups are up there with the best on the market at a fraction of the price. Even with the pole spacing a little out, these things are just as good as the name brand they replace and in some instances much better. Those people who are looking for that classic sound of the 60s and 70s but with more heat and range, these pickups are for you. They will turn a Stratocaster into an instrument to be reckoned with. Buy these pickups, put them in and transform your guitar into something you can't put down. Other companies better watch out, cause Artist Guitars is here and they are not messing around.

Hard to beat
First things first, fantastic pickups. Fit and finish were great. The cloth covered wire has pvc underneath which is a slight struggle but, the wire underneath that is good quality. The wire isn’t pre-tinned so, don’t forget to give it a hit of solder before you start. Quite similar in sound to the F brand 57-62’s in my humble opinion. Out of phase sound is fantastic for that SRV thing. I’d hate to think as to how many SSS pickups I’ve put in over my 20 years of guitar repairs but, it’s fair to say these things will deliver that L series era sound. Thanks Artist

Mixed Thoughts but Nice Tones
Firstly, I do like the tones of these pickups. They were well packaged, and the delivery was speedy. Value for money for sure. I loved the wiring. Very nicely done with vintage style cloth wrapping. However, my thoughts on them are that they could be improved in a couple ways. After ordering these, I had spent a week machining and making a custom aluminum scratch plate with rosewood pickup rings to fit them to an Artist EB2 guitar. Unless there was a mix-up in them being packaged, there is no difference in the pole spacing. Making it immediately difficult to tell the difference between the neck/middle and bridge pickups. They are not marked in any obvious way and the pole spacing is a bit of an issue. One has to measure each one with a meter to tell them apart. Whereas the plastic covers are usually an easy way of telling them apart. ie the bridge cover will not sit on a neck or middle pickup. There is a magnetic field that emanates from these poles and is really important for the strings to find that G-Spot within that field. Strings that sit beside the pole miss out on their full potential. And I think these pickups could sound even better with consideration to this detail. This might not be important to some, but I believe there is good reason to have the poles suit the string spacing. I feel that it is a very important detail to get the best out of your pickups. These sound great. don't get me wrong. But I have mixed feeling about the lack of attention to the pole spacing. An Artist SSS kit Guitar will give correct pole spacing, but not the case with these "higher end" replacement pickups. I considered buying the Artist ST62. But closer inspection now clearly shows the pole spacing problem with the Wrangler Pickups. I was thinking I screwed up after fitting them and re-stringing the guitar, in good faith :), but couldn't understand how! This isn't an intentional or overtly negative feedback. Far from it. Just an honest one from a 57 year old luthier who has been proud of the Artist brand for a very long time and wishes Artist to continue making their products the best they can be. Thanks Artist for this really well priced replacement set. If not for the pole issue, I would easily give these 5 stars on their tone alone. But they could be so much better.

Great sounding pickups
Okay.....so how come you have to spend so much money elsewhere on really good pickups when I've just spent $59 and got excellent sounding pickups? I bought an Artist DIY Strat kit and although the kit is fantastic (you should check them out), I thought it lacked somewhat in the pickup department. I decided to give the Wrangler pickups a try and I'm more than pleased. I will actually play this guitar rather than thinking it was just going to be a bit of fun to build and look at. Lovely clarity in sound and you can genuinely hear the difference in positions when you toggle the selector switch. How lucky are we to have Artist Guitars in our country. The customer support was excellent (as usual) when I had a couple of technical questions regarding the pickups. Very happy customer.
