High-Output Bridge Performance

The BullBucker bridge pickup is carefully calibrated to deliver high-output power with singing highs and aggressive harmonic content. Featuring a 15.4kΩ DC resistance, 9.6H inductance, and standard 52mm pole spacing, it provides rich, full-range output that pushes valve and solid-state amplifiers into natural saturation with ease.

Despite its hot output, the pickup preserves crisp string separation and tight low-end tracking. It performs exceptionally well in mahogany-bodied guitars with rosewood fingerboards, cutting through dense mixes for high-gain rhythm work, punchy rock riffs, and soaring lead solos.

Versatile 4-Conductor Coil-Splitting

Equipped with 4-conductor shielded cable wiring, the BullBucker bridge pickup offers flexible switching possibilities beyond standard series humbucking mode. This versatile lead wire configuration allows for easy integration with push-pull volume/tone pots or mini-toggle switches for authentic single-coil splitting.

By bypassing one of the internal coils, you can instantly convert the humbucker into a bright, biting single-coil pickup. This dual-tone capability gives you access to bell-like clean spank and rhythmic bite alongside full humbucking crunch.

Streamlined Wiring Configuration

The BullBucker bridge pickup uses a standardised 5-wire colour code (4 conductors plus a bare shield ground) for straightforward installation and customisation. Below is the wiring label guide:

Standard Humbucker (Series Wiring)
To wire the pickup as a standard humbucker in series:
• Solder the White and Red wires together and insulate the connection with heat shrink or electrical tape.
• Connect the Thick Black + Yellow wires to ground.
• Connect the Thin Black wire to the Hot Output.
This gives you full humbucker output with maximum power and hum cancellation.

Coil Split - North Coil
To use only the North coil as a single coil:
• Connect the White and Red wires as normal.
• Connect the White/Red junction to Ground when the coil split is activated.
This bypasses the South coil, leaving only the North coil active.

Coil Split - South Coil
To use only the South coil as a single coil:
• Connect the White + Red + Thin Black wires.
• Connect the White/Red/Thin Black junction to the Hot Output when the coil split is activated.
This bypasses the North coil, leaving only the South coil active.

Bridge Pickup Lead Colours:
• Top Coil Polarity: North
• Bottom Coil Polarity: South
• Ground Wire: Thicker Black wire
• South Start: Yellow wire (Inside Screw wire) — Hot Output Wire
• South Finish: Red wire (Outside Screw wire)
• North Finish: White wire (Outside Slug wire)
• North Start: Thinner Black wire (Inside Slug wire)

Wax-Potted Alnico V Construction

Every BullBucker pickup is fully wax-potted to eliminate unwanted microphonic noise, squeal, and mechanical vibration under high gain or stage volumes. This process guarantees quiet, reliable operation whether playing through high-gain tube stacks or direct digital rigs.

The premium Alnico V bar magnet provides high magnetic output, quick transient response, and smooth dynamic compression. Finished in open-coil black bobbins, it delivers an aggressive, modern look that complements a wide variety of guitar finishes.

Been dealing with Artist for many years and would recommend them to anyone wanting good music gear at great prices. Some amps and guitars here are way underpricing for their quality and the Artist Bullbucker is another giant killer.

Bullbucker Humbucker

I bought this bridge pickup as a replacement for my old J and D Luther's super-strat style guitar. The sound from these pickups is unreal! Definitely put the life back into my old guitar and gave it that edgy tone that it deserved. These are incredibly versatile pickups, ranging from blues (volume and tone knob low) to hard rock/metal (volume and tone knob high). I'm 100% happy with these and I'd highly recommend to anyone who wants to transform their guitar's tone without breaking the bank
