Artist EAD916 9 Piece Electronic Drumkit w/ Mesh Heads & Half Shells

Introducing the newest electronic drum kit from Artist! The Artist EAD916 is a 9-piece electronic drum kit featuring mesh heads with half shells, a true feel snare with snare stand, 2 rack toms, a floor tom and a 16" kick drum. Each pad features a unique half-shell design that delivers a highly realistic playing response and rebound, giving you a feel that closely mimics an acoustic drum kit.

One of the standout features of the EAD916 is its use of real hardware. It comes with a real hi-hat stand with clamp, a 16" kick drum pad, and a snare mounted on a traditional snare stand, providing the setup and feel of an acoustic kit, something rarely seen in electronic kits at this price point. The kit also includes a sturdy curved frame, making setup and adjustment simple and solid.

The drum module includes 292 different voices, 13 preset drum kits, and 8 user kit slots that are easy to customise. There are also 5 reverb types to enhance your sound, along with 30 built-in demo songs, an intuitive recording function, and MIDI channel support for seamless integration with your digital setup.

The cymbal configuration includes Crash 1, Crash 2, Ride, and a responsive hi-hat pad. The real hi-hat stand allows for accurate pedal control and dynamic playing, unlike typical trigger-based hi-hats. The module also features a USB MIDI-Out connection, allowing you to use the kit as a MIDI controller with your favourite DAW or virtual instrument plugins. Additionally, there’s an Aux-In port so you can plug in your phone or media player and jam along to your favourite tracks.

Worth it

Upgraded to these. From the edk822. Well worth it. 10/10. Sound is great. The pre-made kits are already pretty good. However made some adjusts, mainly the volume, and kick drum and snare. Toms and hi hat was already perfect setting, except for the volume. Reverb and everything was already good. Getting into those tiny details, too confusing and time consuming for me. However it's not needed as I like the sound as is, and its personal preference. Others im sure will like getting into it and experimenting. Took me a few tries to get the sound of the volume balanced and the right snare. But thats all due to being novice drummer and not knowing much about recording drums. Ive settled on snare no.9. Now its perfectly balanced. Everything is a good size, the cymbals, snare, toms and kick drum. Was able to get it a phil rudd/chris slade drum sound. At least close enough. And the kit looks f*king amazing.
