We've got just enough room for 4 of us in the studio and the full drum kit is too much. We needed a small kit with a mesh head snare and a real kick drum pedal. We couldn't be happier with how much room it doesn't take up! Totally configurable with the 5 user kits. It's all very intuitive and we were up and running in minutes. The Artist CPD1000 is a handy practice tool for any drummer. Featuring a small footprint, mesh snare, powerful programming, and 240 adjustable sounds, this unit is everything you need, with nothing you don't.
A much-awaited addition to the Artist CPD1000 Compact Electronic Drumkit, the Artist KD02 is an all-in-one kick pedal and kick pad that can be added to the CPD1000 for a more natural feel than the kick switch included in the CPD1000 pack.
How to use the kick pedal with the CPD1000
- Simply plug the kick switch cable (included with the CPD1000) into this pedal, rather than the regular CPD1000 kick switch pedal, and you're done! There are no further adjustments to be made, as the module is 100% compatible with the pad.
If you've been holding off on incorporating the CPD1000 into your practice routine, this is the product for you! With the pad below the beater, the bent shaft allows the beater to strike the pad below while maintaining the natural feel & tension of a kick drum pedal - a compact solution allowing drum practice on the go to more accurately reflect the feeling of using an acoustic kick drum.
Featuring a mono output through headphones or the line-out plug, the CPD1000 offers a bunch of options for playback, either through headphones or a speaker using a 1/4 inch instrument cable (not included). The 3.5mm auxiliary input can be used to play music directly from your phone, computer or mp3 player, allowing you to play along with any song you like! (Aux cable not included).
The CPD1000 can also be used as a MIDI controller through your digital audio software of choice. It's worth noting that the USB cable on the module does not allow for any audio transmission, but will send a MIDI signal.
