Introducing the Artist Tweedtone20R amplifier, your ticket to a vintage sound without breaking the bank! One of our all-time best-sellers, the Tweedtone20R boasts two channels—clean and overdrive—giving you ultimate control over a massive palette of tonal variations. Loaded with two EL84 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes - The Tweedtone20R delivers a true tweed tone when pushed into its tasteful valve break-up that our customers know and love.
Each channel comes with a dedicated volume control, plus a master volume, providing ample clean headroom for gigs and rehearsals whilst allowing you to drive the Clean channel for a warm, dynamic breakup at manageable volumes—ideal for both home practice, studio work, Whether you're playing in a small venue, or on a stage for thousands of fans, this is the perfect amp for you!
When you engage the overdrive channel, you’ll experience a creamy distortion with a rich harmonic complexity. Alternatively, keep the amp clean and send your favourite pedals through the front end—the Tweedtone 20R is a great platform for pedals! About this Artist FS101 Latching Footswitch for Amplifiers
This is a simple latching footswitch for channel switching of your amp.
A Latching footswitch will remain on once pressed down, unlike a non-latching footswitch which will remain in the "on" status only for as long as you press the switch. This is designed for channel switching amplifiers.
Note: This is not suitable for keyboard sustain or a drum sample pedal.

Great amp for the price
My Artist amp arrived this morning! I ordered it Friday :-) That is really fast delivery for interstate. Thanks for that! Anyway it's all unboxed and plugged in now and it's exactly what I want. I amazed how good it sounds even at low volume both clean and driven. My axe of choice is a PRS SE custom, humbuckers with coil split when wanted. I did have fun finding the footswitch jack. Took 10 minutes! At least that's only a 1 off. I did however discover that next to the conveniently labelled "foot boost" footswitch jack is where the speaker plugs in to a jack labelled "out". Does this mean we can unplug the internal speaker and plugin in an 8 ohm cabinet? I asked because I don't want to try in case it voids warranty as it isn't mentioned as a "feature" anywhere in the manual, which I read cover to cover before plugging in. On the manual, there is a few words missing on page 8 point 7; "your guitar tone". Perhaps it could also be mentioned that the footswitch is a little hidden. All I need to do now is get a cover because we all know that dust is the enemy of electronics. It would be nice if Artist could offer a cover for all tubes/valve amps as an optional extra. Thanks for a great little affordable amp and I can see many years of tonal fun in front me.

Great Little Tube Amp with One Caveat
I just love this little tube amp. So loud and such a great tone. The overdrive is sufficient enough that I don't need to use a pedal! I bought it to replace my Mk 1 Boogie, which needs an overhaul and is too heavy for me to lug around in my old age.
Store OwnerLove hearing how much you’re enjoying that little tube amp! Loud, great tone, and no pedal needed. Sounds like the perfect lightweight replacement for your old Boogie.6 May 2026 -

Artist Tweedtone20R
Dealing with Artist was great. Product delivered to regional very quickly. Well packed and arrived in one piece. Sounds just great. If you are thinking of getting one, just get it. Second channel sounds good. I have it on clean that slightly overdrives when volume/gain stages are max and cleans up nicely with guitar backed to 6 or 7. Pedals sounds great. And loud. I have a room full of combos that for one reason or another dont do it for me. This is definitely my current go to.

Perfect amplifier for home and band.
I recently purchased and received the Artist TweedTone20R 20 Watt Tube guitar amp. First up I want to say how seamless the purchase and delivery was. The amp arrived on the specified day (WA) and I was very impressed with the packaging. The amp is perfect for my needs, I practise at home and jam in a fairly large soundproof shed with a band. This amp is all I need - dial down at home or crank it up in the shed and still retain the clean or growl sound in both situations. The valves provide a fantastic variety of sounds to suit my guitars (playing a Gibson Les Paul , Ibanez Destroyer and 76 Fender Mustang) and I cannot believe the value for money with the sound and build quality. The EQ, Clean and Drive channels are easy to set up and the foot pedal is perfect for switching channels. Overall I am super impressed and would like to say well done Artist, it's a beauty.
Store OwnerThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a positive review!5 June 2024 -

GET ONE! - to quote Shane Diiorio (intheblues) "th
Shane was totally on the money. Only regret is that I didn't buy it years ago. You'd have to be a real sad sack to find fault with it. Every kind of guitar I've thrown at it with every conceivable pickup combination and pickup type, it just works so beautifully. It's a sweet amp. A lot of people don't want to say "it's the best amp I've ever heard" - because it is so well priced. But, hand on heart, it IS the best amp I've ever heard. Period. A joy to play. Get one!

I recently came across a review of this amp I saw on ‘Intheblues’. I don’t have a lot of knowledge in regards to tube amps so a got a mate of mine, who owns a Vox AC15, to come along and check it out for me. He wasn’t coming to buy, but I reckon in 2 minutes he said, ‘I’ve got one of these’, so we both walked out with one. This amp is a good as, or even slightly better than tube amps in this category. It looks great, it is lighter and has two channels. The clean channel does everything from ultra clean to breakup and the drive channel, which has separate volume control, is very usable. My only suggestion is that it should include, or a least be able to purchase a solid footswitch that you can use with a guitar cable to switch channels. Great amp, amazing value.

Tweedtone Value
Very impressive amp for the money, did a shoot out with a Princeton tonemaster and the Artist tweed 20 won hands down. Very lush clean, takes pedals well and very very good value. Highly recommend this amp for both bedroom and gigging players. Only question not answered is "does it djent", someone else can find that out.

Well worth the price
I made my decision to purchase this amp from the U-tube reviews that I had watched. Even though these reviews can make amps sound good, I can honestly say that I was very surprised at the quality of the amps sound and volume in the real. Yes, for what I want to use the amp for it is more than adequate for my needs and I recommend getting one. For value for money, this amp shines and really outperforms what one would expect for its price. I say , thank you Artist Guitars for your excellent customer service and product and Couriers Please for their amazing fast delivery time. Get one.

Great amp, great price , Ihave been in a market for a clean guitar amp akin to Fender blues junior or hot rod as I used to own a bassman in the past . I watched the review of this amp by Brett Kingsman and was blown away by its sonic quality!! , with a clean sound of a fender and a drive sound of a Marshall I have found my muse!! . This is a loud 20 w amp which can be played at reasonable low level without compromising the sound. It was easy to purchase and was easy to pick up at the warehouse even on public holiday, Thank you Artist guitar!!!

This cookie policy (Cookie Policy) sets out how Artist Guitars Pty Ltd ABN 59 160 522 574 and its related bodies corporate (as defined in the Corporates Act 2001 (Cth)) (we, our, us) handles and uses cookies.
Capitalised terms used in this Cookies Policy have the same meaning as given in our Privacy Policy. Please ensure you carefully read our Privacy Policy in addition to this Cookies Policy.
What is a cookie
We use cookies and URL information to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the information for which you searched and which you viewed on the Website. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a web site. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Website. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions. Cookies may enable automatic logins when you visit in the future and may enable content customisation.
Some cookies are necessary to allow you to browse our Website, use its features, and access secure areas. The use of these cookies is essential for our Website to work.
We also use functional cookies to remember choices you’ve made or information you’ve provided, such as your username, language, or the region you are in. This allows us to tailor your website experience specifically to your preferences. For example, authentication cookies are functional cookies that are used for the duration of a session (or persistent, if you agree to the “remember me” function) to allow users to authenticate themselves on subsequent visits or to gain access to authorized content across pages. The functional cookies we use include:
• User-centric security cookies to detect authentication abuses for a limited persistent duration, like repeated failed login attempts. These cookies are set for the specific task of increasing the security of our Website.
• Multimedia content player session cookies (flash cookies) are used for the duration of a session to store technical data needed to play back video or audio content (e.g. image quality, network link speed, and buffering parameters).
• Load balancing session cookies are used for the duration of the session to identify the same server in the pool in order for the load balancer to redirect user requests appropriately.
• User interface customisation persistent cookies are used to store a user’s preference regarding a service across web pages.
We use many tools to help us improve our Website. To this end, we use reporting and analytics cookies to collect information about how you use our Website and how often. These cookies only gather information for statistical purposes and only use pseudonymous cookie identifiers that do not directly identify you. The performance cookies we use include:
• First party analytics cookies - we use these cookies to estimate the number of unique visitors, to improve our Website and to detect the most searched for words in search engines that lead to our Website. We use these cookies to learn how our Website is performing and make relevant improvements to improve your browsing experience.
• Third party analytics cookies - we also use Google Analytics and other third-party analytics providers listed below to help measure how users interact with our Website content. These cookies “remember” what our users have done on previous pages and how they’ve interacted with our Website. For more information on Google Analytics, visit Google’s information page. For instructions on how opt out of Google Analytics, see below.
Advertising cookies are used on our Website to tailor marketing to you and your interests and provide you with a more personalized service in the future. These cookies remember that you visited our Website and we may share this information with third-parties, such as advertisers. Although these cookies can track your device’s visits to our Website and other sites, they typically cannot personally identify you. Without these cookies, the advertisements that you see may be less relevant and interesting to you. Read more about how companies use cookies to conduct targeted or retargeted advertising here.
Social and Content cookies are placed by many social media plugins (for example the Facebook ’like’ button), and other tools meant to provide or improve the content on a website (for example services that allow the playing of video files, or that create comments sections). We integrate these modules into our Website to improve the experience of browsing and interacting with our Website. Please note that some of these third party services place cookies that are also used for things like behavioural advertising, analytics, and/or market research.
We also use third party vendor re-marketing tracking cookies, including:
• the Google Adwords tracking cookie;
• the Facebook Pixel; and
• SmartrMail tracking cookie.
You can opt out of Google's use of cookies or device identifiers by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or control the use of device identifiers by using your device’s settings.
Third parties, including Google may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from the Service and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. You can opt out of the collection and use of information for ad targeting using aboutads.info/choices
Many of the third party advertising and other tracking services listed above offer you the opportunity to opt out of their tracking systems. You can read more about the information they collect and how to opt out through the privacy policy links listed above.
To opt out of these communications please visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page.
How long will cookies remain on my computer or mobile device?
The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they are downloaded to your device.
How do I control cookies?
You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our Website may no longer be fully accessible.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser’s “Tools” or “Preferences” menu. For more information on how to modify your browser settings or how to block, manage or filter cookies can be found in your browser’s help file or through such sites as: www.allaboutcookies.org.
Many of the third party advertising and other tracking services listed above offer you the opportunity to opt out of their tracking systems. You can read more about the information they collect and how to opt out through the privacy policy links listed above.
