Whether you use it as a standalone overdrive pedal to add organic warmth to clean amplifier channels or as a pre-amp boost to tighten up high-gain distortion, the Giga Screamer delivers an aggressive, articulate and sustained drive.
Dual TS Voicing and Premium Analogue Core
At the heart of the Giga Screamer is a Japanese-made JRC4458D op-amp paired with hand-selected tantalum capacitors, ensuring that every unit delivers pure, high-quality TS-style tone with low noise and maximum dynamic expression.
An intuitive 808 / 9 toggle switch lets you instantly swap between two legendary overdrive profiles:
- 808: Delivers the smooth, warm and open midrange characteristic of the classic TS808.
- 9: Provides the slightly brighter, punchier response of the TS9 circuit.
Dynamic EQ and Frequency Shaping
To break past the frequency limitations of traditional Tube Screamer circuits, the Giga Screamer incorporates dedicated BB / OFF and Scoop toggle switches for one-toggle tone shaping:
BB (Bass Boost): Injects extra low-frequency gain into the circuit to prevent low-end loss, keeping your tone fat and authoritative through single-coil pickups or smaller cabs.
Scoop: Chops off mid-frequencies while boosting the high and low end, transforming the pedal into a modern, scooped-mid drive ideal for heavy rhythm work.
Power Management and Build Quality
The pedal includes a dedicated physical Power Switch. Toggling the switch to ON engages the pedal for immediate performance, while switching to OFF completely cuts internal power to protect internal components and eliminate unwanted battery drain during storage.
