Joyo Zombie II Bantamp XL Series 20 Watt Tube-Hybrid Amp Head

Since the release of the BanTamP series, JOYO amps have taken the world by storm and received amazingly positive feedback. Now, Joyo has optimized the BanTamP series and have developed the brand new BanTamP XL series! Retaining the tones and functions of the originals, the BanTamP XL series features a channel switching footswitch, and the two channels' parameters can now be controlled independently! The BanTamP XL series is definitely a better choice for musicians who love to perform with these amps!

The JOYO Zombie micro guitar amp head expertly blends valve and solid-state amp technology, resulting in a tiny amp head that can produce an immense wall of sound. The JOYO Bantamp series is arguably the most feature-rich & versatile mini amp heads available at this price in Australia!

The Zombie has a 12AX7 Preamp tube which provides a warm, smooth overdrive tone. The solid-state power section of the Bantamps then accents your guitar's natural tone, from the soaring highs to more mellow bass frequencies.

Clean Channel

A two channel amp makes a guitar head twice as versatile as alternatives and makes a great companion for musicians at gigs, jams and on the road. Flick the amp to the CLEAN channel for more headroom and the perfect pedal platform.

Distortion Channel

The ZOMBIE comes alive with its low gain settings, and has a great low-gain sparkle. Using your favourite overdrive pedals to push it even further into higher gain territory creates some crushing drive and using a couple of pedals together can create some truly unique tones. Push the drive and you will hear the ZOMBIE scream pure terror.

FX Loop

The FX loop on a guitar amplifier enables you to put your modulation and time-based effects (Phasers, Flanger, Reverb, Tremolo, Delay and Chorus) after the preamp, and before the power-amp. The FX loop keeps these modulated effects clean and will prevent them from becoming muddied from the amp gain.

Bluetooth Wireless Connectivity

Pair your Bluetooth device to the Zombie and jam along to your favourite tracks, connect your external device via Bluetooth and play your audio tracks cleanly through the amps Bluetooth receiver channel. We find that this is a great way to practice alone or with friends, without getting tangled in additional wires.

Headphone Out with Built-in Cab Speaker Amp Simulation

The amp has a speaker out rated at both 8 and 16 Ohms. Careful, this amp is small, but 20 Watts is loud and will deliver a handful. If you want to practice quietly, the built-in headphone out has full speaker emulation so you can silently recreate the same great tone as you would from a full stack.

Once you start working with this amp, you will soon forget its size, however you will not forget the very affordable price and amazing tone it delivers. It will feel as if you are playing through a much bigger amp and your audience just won't believe where your sound is really coming from. You can tell them, this is the new JOYO ZOMBIE & there is no escape from the high gain sound of an undead boogie man.

I have bene looking for a Lamb of God sound and could never quite get it from my modelling amp. Well bring in the Zombie and witin a minute or so i'm chugging with the exact metal sound I've been searching for. Press the foot pedal and switch to the clean channel for those nice intro's then press again for teh chug. Highly recommend this amp, no negatives, only positives.

Loud as Hell

I'm running this 'little' amp through a 16 ohm 2 x 12" speaker and it absolutely rocks. After watching several reviews online, especially on YT, I had to get one. As a practice amp, it's more than enough. For gigs I've got a 100W solid state which runs at 16 ohms so is perfect for the 2 x 12. If you're looking to have an amp which you could have forever, and maybe even pass on to your kids or grandkids, this amp will still be kickin'. The first time I played this without headphones, my wife had to walk down to the Studio (at the bottom of the garden-about 20m away from the house) and tell me to 'f*%&^n tone it down'. Needless to say, my headphones have been a permanent fixture on my head ever since. It's bright, it's reactive, it's punchy, and it's really loud. My advice; get one. You definitely won't regret it... neither will your grandchildren.

Joyo Zombie II XL will melt your face!

I'm a massive fan of compact amps that pack a huge punch, but this amp packs a MASSIVE punch. Not only does is sound great and is easy to use, it's WAY cheaper than most other 20-40W amps out there! It looks tough. The design of the head looks very metal. Like everything is black/grey and is just a very appealing looking amp. Out of the box, it seems very sturdy. The chassis is made of solid metal and looks like it could take a bit of rough housing. On startup, the cleans are super clear. I wasn't expecting these sparkly cleans from a high-gain Mesa type amp. And then when I clicked the gain channel on... Holy cow... It has plenty of gain. Enough to easily cover Metal-core, Death metal, ect. It's a very "tight" sounding gain too. It reminds me more of a dual rectifier than a boogie. The tone dials are set somehow to really sculpt that tone you're looking for. They're very responsive and easy to use. I think it pairs very nice with a 12" speaker over the matching 8" BanTcaB. I also put to an EQ pedal in the loop terminal to round out the sound a little. Even through the 8" speaker, the 20 watts this amp puts out is extremely loud! Enough to keep up with my Blackstar Club 40! And the tone doesn't start to fall apart when cranked up either, which is great for gigging situations. This is an absolutely amazing amp, and I'd 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to try one out! It's less than $300 AUD, so why not give it a go?

Little Monster from JOYO

By: on 6 November 2020
Build quality on this little monster is very good in my opinion. Nothing feels week or cheap. Its tiny, about the size of a half loaf of bread. The whole chassis is metal. Very easy to remove the top of the case of you want to change out the tube. Sound wise, take this with a grain of salt, as I'm using headphones for the moment, and that's always a very crappy way of reviewing any amps sound. So rather than any negatives, I'll post my positives thus far. 1: gain for days 2: EQ is responsive for each channel 3: valve takes maybe 3 seconds to start making sound 4: very sturdy feeling build quality 5: clean channel is crystal clean, though some might not like it like that. Personal preference. 6: foot switch feels very solid, and does not make any noise at all when changing channels. 7: the value for money is ridiculously good. No buyers remorse here. Just cant wait for my speakers to arrive from the US, as Im making my own 2x12 cabinet to suit :)
