Ultra-Fast FET Dynamic Control
Unlike slower optical or VCA-style compressors, the JFET Comp utilises ultra-fast JFET circuitry to catch peak transients instantly. This rapid response allows you to smooth out unpredictable picking dynamics, lock in tight staccato grooves and add punch to every note without feeling sluggish or squished.
The interactive INPUT and OUTPUT level controls let you drive the internal circuit into subtle saturation or keep your signal pristine, while dedicated RATIO, ATTACK and RELEASE controls give you complete authority over your dynamic envelope.
Parallel Compression with Dry Blend
To keep your playing feel completely organic, the JFET Comp incorporates an interactive DRY blend knob for studio-grade parallel compression.
By blending your original, uncompressed analogue signal alongside the heavily compressed JFET path, you get the absolute best of both worlds: crushing sustain and punchy body without sacrificing your natural pick attack, subtle fingerstyle dynamics or touch sensitivity.
Real-Time Visual Feedback and Smart Power Architecture
The JFET Comp features a high-visibility 10-segment LED compression meter right on the front panel. This provides instant, real-time visual monitoring of your gain reduction, allowing you to set attack, release and threshold parameters with studio precision on stage or in the studio.
Built into a durable aluminium alloy chassis, the pedal includes a dedicated Power Switch that completely disconnects internal power when not in use to prevent battery drain. A built-in active buffer path maintains full signal strength across long cable runs, while top-mounted jacks and an internal magnetic battery compartment keep your board layout neat and easy to manage.
