Artist JC450 Brown Arch Top Hard Guitar Case Fits 335 Style
This guitar case has been designed to fit a Gibson ES335, 345, 355 and the Epiphone equivalents. Externally, The depth of the case at the edges is 116mm and the depth at the centre measures 140mm.
Suits - Gibson 335 or similar and Ibanez AS93.
This Hard Case has sturdy wooden construction with a lockable Latch (the key is inside the case). It has a great little compartment for all your accessories and spare strings. It also has a small pad to support the body.
Note: This is not suitable for an ES339. This case is not suitable for the Gibson "Dave Grohl" DG335 model guitar as it has a Firebird style headstock which makes the guitar too long for the JC450 case.

If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.

This Is A Nice Case
It has an attractive brown exterior and sumptuous fluffy interior. It will be fine for protecting my Ibanez in a studio which has 2-3 bands rotating through it, and for the odd trip to-and-from home. I wouldn't use it for the rigors of touring, however. The handle does not inspire confidence. Specifically, the handle mounts. One of the two mounts is wobbly, as if it's not affixed properly within the case. Because this case is for occasional use, I have not raised the subject with Artist, although I get the feeling they would be very attentive to any concerns. I only mention it because I feel it's an area of concern and needs to be beefed-up. You need to have one hundred percent confidence in your handle. Having said that, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and Artist were a pleasure to do business with.

Too many latches?
I thought this case represents good value for money, so I ordered one for My 335. The guitar fitted perfectly, and even though there’s not a lot of padding on the inside, it should do the job nicely. Why three stars and no more? As soon as I took it out of the house one of the latches committed a kamikaze act and fell straight off the case. Shoddy hardware? Sure. I guess it is to be expected at this price point, although I wish that it had lasted more than one day. On the whole, the case should be fine for the job Henceforth it’s still a positive review. I just hope all the other latches stay attached.

Not bad, but Gretsch only just fits
I bought this case for my Gretsch G5422LH, based on one of the other reviews here saying it fit. So it does fit, but not perfectly. In hindsight, I should have sprung for the proper Gretsch case (at twice the price, mind you). I’m not going to use this for storage, though, only transport to and from classes, and for that I think it fits well enough. That said, there’s nothing wrong with the case itself. It’s solid enough and the clasps seem sturdy. It does have that odd smell new vinyl often has, but that’ll fade. For a 335, which the case is actually designed for, it’s a good, affordable option.

FIVE GOLD STAR goodness from Artist Guitars. their hallmark. Received my Artist JC450 case half an hour ago. Thoroughly inspected and tried for fit. Again, Artist Guitars have brought Australian musicians another superb value product. A decent quality hard case at a price I wanted to pay delivered to my door. What's not to love?! Someone else had inadvertently helped me out here with an earlier review, so when I tried my Gretsch G5422TG hollow body for fit, I was already 99.5% certain the JC450 would be a OK fit with it. Better than that, the Gretsch actually fits so perfectly, it's almost as if this case was custom made for it! The brown 'Tolex' of the case with its gold latches and hardware added a particularly pleasing aesthetic for me, as my Gretsch's body colour is Walnut Stain accessorised with gold hardware. A most complimentary and elegant pairing. The soft internal brown lining is both attractive and functional. Readers will rightly discern from this review that I like this case a lot. Pretty sure it will be a fit for my Ibanez AS93 as well. Would buy another. Thanks guys. Recommended.

Happy with thee case, its good quality for the price. I only wish it was black, but I do like that it is lockable and has a compartment for pics, straps etc. Cases were hard to find, so I am very happy with my purchase. The only negative was the box was very damaged on arrival, fortunately the case was undamaged. I guess that is a good indication of the cases quality. This is a courier issue but, if a guitar was shipped this way there would have been damage. Still, customer service was good with sorting out the issue with the driver forgetting to deliver the case with the rest of my order.

Good Value 335 Case
The case is very sturdy and generally well made. It does fit a 335, but can fit a few others as well. I can't give it 5 stars as there's a few obvious flaws to it, but the service from Artist Guitars is always top notch. The case itself fits a 335, but is better suited to other 335 style guitars that don't have an angled neck. When you put an Artist (Or Gibson) style 335 in the case there's no body support at the neck (generally you'd have a sloped support in the case towards the neck). But as I said, it fits a guitar without an angled neck much better. The tolex on the case is glued on over the seam joins and I'd expect after a while the glue to give way and you'll have to re-glue at some stage. But the case does look good, it does the job of keeping the guitar somewhat safe. I just wouldn't ship any guitar in it without adding extra packing up around the neck join first.

I purchased two of these excellent cases recently and I couldn't be happier with them as far as quality goes. With the prices of "brand name" cases going through the roof . . unnecessarily, I reckon . . how refreshing to find a local company offering a case to fit a Gibson/Epiphone ES-335 guitar at a very competitive price. I have two Epiphone Pearl White Dot Royale 335 guitars that needed new homes. A few years ago I bought two cases from Artist Guitars, only to find they didn't accommodate the Bigsby vibrato units that all my guitars are sporting. This time around, though, I checked the measurements listed on the website and measured an Epiphone case and decided to go ahead with my purchase. My two Dot Royale 335s fit easily and the case has room to close the lid with no problems arising from the Bigsbys on the guitars. The hinges are of good quality, as are the latches . . and the case has enough latches too. The dark brown tolex covering is well fitted and the overall "vibe" I get when carrying the full case is that they're nice and solid. Everything to like and nothing not to like. Perfect fit for the Starcaster
Trying to find a case that would fit the Squier Starcaster series was....interesting. Checking the dimensions on this case made me confident enough to buy. It's a good case and it fits the Starcaster perfectly A win! As with most Artist products it's well made and good quality at a very decent price. In this case (excuse the pun) I'm a little disappointed with the foam around the edges. Very low density and soft. I higher density foam would have held the guitar more securely and offered better protection. I'd recommend that Artist talk to their suppliers about this. I'd happily pay a little more to have decent hi-density foam surround the guitar. That said, the case is superb value and it wouldn't be hard to rip out the low-density foam and replace it. As always, shipping and product value are unbeatable.
