The wait is over! With demand becoming near-overwhelming, fans of our Artist 58DLX can rejoice! The Artist Cherry12 is here! This one has all the first-class appointments unique to the 58DLX range with one simple, notable difference - it's a 12-string! Featuring our famous Bullbucker pickups with push-pull coil splitting, locking tuners, a bone nut, and block inlays, the Cherry12 is a classy, chimey, vintage-styled electric 12-string, upgraded with modern features that offer a diverse tonal palette, and maximum playability for the serious musician and the enthused hobbyist alike!
The gorgeous bound maple neck is topped with a stunning dark ebony fretboard, adorned with classic block inlays. With a 47.5mm bone nut and tune-o-matic bridge, the Cherry12 stays in tune wonderfully, which is of paramount concern when you're trying to keep 12 strings in tune at once!
The Cherry12 sports our Signature Bullbucker individual Coil Splitting pickups, giving warm throaty tones from the neck pickup, and biting, bright clean sounds from the bridge, while setting the switch between the neck and bridge pickups delivers a wonderful, almost out-of-phase sound. The push/pull coil-splitting on both pickups is an extremely useful and versatile addition offering single-coil or humbucker configurations.

Blown away
Kind of gobsmacked how a good this guitar is. . Ordered it Wednesday, delivered 48 hours later. Set up, intonation and action perfect straight out of the box. Tuned it up and Boom! Solid gold. Highly recommended. Haven't put it down since it arrived.
Store OwnerThanks for your review! We are always here if you have any questions.29 August 2026 -

Stuff
The guitar is very well built, the electronics are nice , the coil tapping is a nice feature, it is VERY neck heavy, maybe due to the locking tuners, also the intonation is out as it came out of the box, needs a pro setup, overall good value for money as long as you don't want to play long sets with the neck dive issue.
Store OwnerHi Ian, thank you for your honest review. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. This is definitely covered under a 100-day customer satisfaction guarantee so we will organise a resolution for you right away. We can either exchange this for another guitar or refund this for you. We've sent you an email so we can rectify this for you ASAP. We are looking forward to hearing back from you soon.27 May 2026 -

Fabulous Value
I was looking for an electric 12 string electric guitar for ages to replace a 30 year old semi acoustic . I watched a video on this guitar and read every review I could find on lots of models. The specs on the Artist 12 string Cherry are outstanding for the price. I’ve had this guitar for over a month now and given it a fair play. This guitar could sell for $1200 and still be a good value, I paid $449 delivered to Gippsland. Straight out of the box I found the colour gorgeous, the neck set up , intonation and action spot on. I left the strings on because they sounded so good ,and the guitar is light and well balanced when standing and playing. I love the “C” neck profile which is very similar to my Fenders and Rickenbacker 330 so playing it is really easy. The binding on the neck looks great and covers the fret ends so gliding up and down the fretboard is very comfortable. Once I plugged it in this thing came alive, the 3 way toggle , split coil for the Humbuckers used with the knobs and I was amazed at the different tones I could get. The Humbuckers are really responsive able to provide rich mids, cut through trebles, jangley chords , lead riffs and full toned backing chords , this guitar will do it. It’s a great buy. If your not happy you get your money back. You can’t beat the service.
Store OwnerThanks for sharing your experience with us! Your support means a lot, and we hope to see you again soon.15 April 2026 -

Very good electric 12 string
I put new strings on this yesterday and it sounds great. The shipped strings were dull, don’t know how long they were on it. The locking machine heads are brilliant. There is one problem. Being a hollow body means it is lightweight but when using a strap the neck is too heavy for the body and drops down. You can’t get it to stay in playing position without lifting the neck.
Store OwnerWe appreciate the time you have taken to write a review. Thank you.22 October 2025 -

Cherry 12string
This one was ready to play straight out of the box,, (I tuned it down one hole octave) . The only thing I've done to it is put new (clean) strings on it ,, the one's on it where in tune but filthy . Sounds great, plays great, looks great. Quality of ARTIST GUITAR'S are improving with each new guitar I buy from them. This is my fourth "ARTIST GUITAR" , WILL be buying more from this company for sure..
Store OwnerThank you for the great feedback, Patrick! We're thrilled that your Cherry 12-string is performing well right out of the box, even after a full-octave drop. Your loyalty means a lot to us. Here’s to adding more Artist Guitars to your collection! Let us know when you’re ready for guitar number five!15 June 2025

Surprised
I saw some of the specs and for 1/2 - 1/3 of the price of other 12 strings in the market it seemed too good to be true. So I gave Artist a shot and I'm glad I did. First I'll say the negatives. One or two sharp frets and an unbelievably high action when it arrived, if you don't feel comfortable adjusting the action you WILL have to take it to somebody to have it lowered. I've tried a lot of piezo pickups and this one just isn't good unfortunately. Now that those are out of the way. The things that I like, the feel of the neck, and overall quality is fantastic. Unexpected bone nut that feels sooooo nice. The pickups when they aren't in piezo are albeit quiet but charming. Turn up your amp or daw and the pickups do their job and they do it well. The strings ring out nicely and it goes out of tune about as much as any other guitar I've ever owned. If you want to try a 12 string and don't want to hand over an arm and leg. Give these a go, I'm very happy with it.
Store OwnerWe appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Thank you for the positive rating!28 October 2024 -

Ringiing Red
Recently acquired this twelve string and after a minor tuning it was ready to play! Great ation and multiple tones. Another quality Artist guitar added to the collection, which will be played and enjoyed often. Mine came without a pick guard and they are currently advertised with a photo showing it with a pick guard. Doesn't affect the playability of the beast though and I'm happy with my ringing red! Thanks.

Cherry Electric 12 string
I am very happy with this electric 12 string. It came set up with a good action and I played it live a couple of days later and also recorded with it. I’m delighted with the pickups and tuning pegs. A great guitar

On A Dark Desert Highway... Awesome Value
At this price point, with not at all bad sounding humbuckers, pretty noiseless push-pull pots, an ebony fingerboard, locking tuners and a decent kinda build quality and finish... You really can't go wrong!

Love 12-Strings But This One Will Need TLC First
I have been enamoured by the quality of Artist Guitars and hence own many different models and have done glowing reviews in the past but this is the first one to let me down. What I am about to mention is minor to me but will stop me using it after just doing a quick setup, for a live gig. It will need some definite time and TLC before I can use it on stage. To start with this Cherry12 Has a buzz on the 6th String at the 5th Fret that will need a fret level especially after I lower the strings height through the nut. When fretting 1st fret notes on the 1st 3 sets of strings their pitch is way out so the nut will need adjusting. The intonation on every string except the fifth set of strings is OK. Something more sinister is that the control knobs are loose and wobble so I can see the two push pull ones coming off in the very near future. I will need to replace them with screwed grip ones. I also noticed the wiring "seemed" to be a bit dodgy as in what controls work with what, so it will need attention. It seems to be around the wrong way - back to front. This guitar is very neck heavy. Not well balanced; as you'd expect with a lot of the weight in the neck and head. Because of all of the above I haven't really got into playing it for long to give it a good try-out but am looking forward to giving it a good whirl once I've fixed it up to be in a "live" playable condition. I may well have gotten a lemon so don't let this review stop you trying one out. The Artist Guitars staff are awesome to deal with and the cost of this guitar is way cheaper than something comparable even after I spend some time on it.
Store OwnerWe are sorry to hear about the problems you have encountered with the guitar. We have sent you an email to assist you in having this matter resolve. Capitalised terms used in this Cookies Policy have the same meaning as given in our Privacy Policy. Please ensure you carefully read our Privacy Policy in addition to this Cookies Policy.
What is a cookie
We use cookies and URL information to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the information for which you searched and which you viewed on the Website. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a web site. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Website. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions. Cookies may enable automatic logins when you visit in the future and may enable content customisation.
Some cookies are necessary to allow you to browse our Website, use its features, and access secure areas. The use of these cookies is essential for our Website to work.
We also use functional cookies to remember choices you’ve made or information you’ve provided, such as your username, language, or the region you are in. This allows us to tailor your website experience specifically to your preferences. For example, authentication cookies are functional cookies that are used for the duration of a session (or persistent, if you agree to the “remember me” function) to allow users to authenticate themselves on subsequent visits or to gain access to authorized content across pages. The functional cookies we use include:
• User-centric security cookies to detect authentication abuses for a limited persistent duration, like repeated failed login attempts. These cookies are set for the specific task of increasing the security of our Website.
• Multimedia content player session cookies (flash cookies) are used for the duration of a session to store technical data needed to play back video or audio content (e.g. image quality, network link speed, and buffering parameters).
• Load balancing session cookies are used for the duration of the session to identify the same server in the pool in order for the load balancer to redirect user requests appropriately.
• User interface customisation persistent cookies are used to store a user’s preference regarding a service across web pages.
We use many tools to help us improve our Website. To this end, we use reporting and analytics cookies to collect information about how you use our Website and how often. These cookies only gather information for statistical purposes and only use pseudonymous cookie identifiers that do not directly identify you. The performance cookies we use include:
• First party analytics cookies - we use these cookies to estimate the number of unique visitors, to improve our Website and to detect the most searched for words in search engines that lead to our Website. We use these cookies to learn how our Website is performing and make relevant improvements to improve your browsing experience.
• Third party analytics cookies - we also use Google Analytics and other third-party analytics providers listed below to help measure how users interact with our Website content. These cookies “remember” what our users have done on previous pages and how they’ve interacted with our Website. For more information on Google Analytics, visit Google’s information page. For instructions on how opt out of Google Analytics, see below.
Advertising cookies are used on our Website to tailor marketing to you and your interests and provide you with a more personalized service in the future. These cookies remember that you visited our Website and we may share this information with third-parties, such as advertisers. Although these cookies can track your device’s visits to our Website and other sites, they typically cannot personally identify you. Without these cookies, the advertisements that you see may be less relevant and interesting to you. Read more about how companies use cookies to conduct targeted or retargeted advertising here.
Social and Content cookies are placed by many social media plugins (for example the Facebook ’like’ button), and other tools meant to provide or improve the content on a website (for example services that allow the playing of video files, or that create comments sections). We integrate these modules into our Website to improve the experience of browsing and interacting with our Website. Please note that some of these third party services place cookies that are also used for things like behavioural advertising, analytics, and/or market research.
We also use third party vendor re-marketing tracking cookies, including:
• the Google Adwords tracking cookie;
• the Facebook Pixel; and
• SmartrMail tracking cookie.
You can opt out of Google's use of cookies or device identifiers by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or control the use of device identifiers by using your device’s settings.
Third parties, including Google may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from the Service and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. You can opt out of the collection and use of information for ad targeting using aboutads.info/choices
Many of the third party advertising and other tracking services listed above offer you the opportunity to opt out of their tracking systems. You can read more about the information they collect and how to opt out through the privacy policy links listed above.
To opt out of these communications please visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page.
How long will cookies remain on my computer or mobile device?
The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they are downloaded to your device.
How do I control cookies?
You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our Website may no longer be fully accessible.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser’s “Tools” or “Preferences” menu. For more information on how to modify your browser settings or how to block, manage or filter cookies can be found in your browser’s help file or through such sites as: www.allaboutcookies.org.
Many of the third party advertising and other tracking services listed above offer you the opportunity to opt out of their tracking systems. You can read more about the information they collect and how to opt out through the privacy policy links listed above.
