We are proud to offer you a series of online lessons designed specifically for beginning guitar students. This series of lessons was designed in-house to give you the best start to your musical career. This is what this lesson pack is all about - the stuff that nobody really tells you at the start of your guitar playing journey. Issues like holding the guitar, using a plectrum and some simple exercises to start you off.
So whether you're 7 or 70, take some time to check out the lesson pack and most importantly - be patient and have fun! Note that you would need to be logged into your Artist Guitar account, and you would have to subscribe to our Newsletter first to receive the link to the lesson program. You can UNSUBSCRIBE as soon as you get the link.
Here are the reasons why this guitar is great:
It has Steel Strings for a great sound. Watch the video above and have a listen to the audio clip to hear how it sounds. Most beginner guitars have nylon strings, but unless you want to play classical or Spanish music, you may be disappointed. (If you do prefer the sound of a classical/Spanish style guitar, we have a range available in our store).
It has a Built-in Pickup with EQ & Tuner, so if you want to play through an amp or PA system, or even record, it's easy to connect your guitar up for a great sound.
A Truss Rod that allows you to correct for the effects of weather on the guitar helps keep the neck straight, and the action height of the neck can be adjusted.
Comes included with a Bag to protect your guitar, Strap and Built-In Tuner - A tuner for a beginner is vital. A guitar needs to be tuned every time you play. As ours is built into the guitar its always in the right place. It's extremely simple to use, so you will be using it correctly in no time at all.
Die-cast Machine Heads - This means your guitar will tune quicker, be more stable and stay in tune longer

Artist 12 String Guitar
I received my guitar today and I am very happy with the build quality and the set up. It also arrived two days ahead of schedule, which was great. It sounds great too. Now I have all the fun of keeping a 12 string in tune!

12 String
My guitar arrived damaged from an over zealous courier. But after a few photos, and an email, a replacement was organised. The guitar itself is really quite lovely to play, and the gig bag is great quality. Perfect for a beginner, or for somebody like myself who just wanted a 12 string, but didn't want to pay the earth for it. You would probably pay x3 as much for one of the big names, for the same quality.

Thank you Artist Guitar Team.
I have already reviewed this guitar and still stand by that review. Sadly my 12 string guitar started to develop some issues, I contacted Artist Guitars, everyone involved were excellent to deal with and the issue was resolved within a business day. I could not have asked for better service. It is good to know that you are dealing with a company that honour their policies and are honest and committed regarding their customer relations and support. Thanks again Harry and Ryan, and ALL the team at Artist Guitars. BTW, these 12 String guitars are incredibly playable :).

12 string
For the price point, this is an excellent guitar. Surprisingly low action for a 12 string, and a pleasant tone. Shimmering highs and good bass. Best of all is this company's customer service which is the best I have ever received. Recommended!

Happy but mmff
The 12 string is superb for the price and exactly what I ordered. Well packed and a bargain. There is one issue but frankly an expeted one. Its action is way high. I will have to bet it dropped. My comment is that a 12 string is a boutique guitar and those buying one have played one before and know that a low guitar that will be used occasionally is what they are looking for. ease of play is key. 12 strings have their own challenges and a high action adds to the challenge.
Store OwnerThank you so much for your review and honest feedback on the guitar. We truly appreciated.9 January 2024 -

Beginners 12String guitar?
Firstly, thank you Artist Guitars for a truly surprisingly great product and the opportunity to review this guitar. On first impressions the LSP12CEQNT is extraordinary value for money. An absolute bargain. I was going to buy another well known brand 12String @8 times the price, for no real reason I bought this instead and am really glad I did. Most beginner guitars are plain outright painful to play, are unstable, barely tunable and at best sound lousy, let alone a beginner twelve string. The LSP12CEQNT is surprisingly great and I really enjoy playing it. It arrived safely and in good order, due to proper packaging and an excellent courier service. On opening, everything was there as advertised on the site. The guitar is well finished, frets dressed/finished properly and strings in good shape. Put the supplied battery in its holder then tuned up to Eb via the built in chromatic tuner. The neck is slim with an action that is low and very comfortable, no buzzes anywhere along each string. What really surprised me was the tuning accuracy all along the neck. The sealed tuners are quite acceptable. The build quality is excellent for it’s price point. The sound? It is no top of the line Martin, Taylor or Guild, but they do not sound twenty times better than the LSP12CEQNT either, or in my case 8 times better than 12 string I was contemplating buying. Acoustically it sounds decent, and is good enough for me to write/arrange or demo on, as I said, I really enjoy working with this guitar. Out of curiosity I have made some professional quality sounding tracks with this guitar by using two good quality microphones “with” the on board preamp and a pro mixer. They sound great, without smothering it’s sound with big reverbs or chorus overkill, sadly too often used on YouTube reviews. The LSP12CEQNT is a decent sounding twelve string and plays really well straight out of the box. It is easy to tune, holds it’s tuning (stable) and is in tune all the way up the fret board. A capo works well on it too. I would rate the LSP12CEQNT an excellent beginner 12 String guitar, and honestly any competent guitarist could use this guitar professionally through any reasonable audio/PA system. It is a good instrument and with all good instruments, it is what you put into it you will get out of it. This guitar has plenty of potential for anyone to learn on or to simply enjoy playing. Over the years, I have played and worked on many twelve string guitars much worse with a market value of up to twenty times the retail price Artist Guitars are asking for the LSP12CEQNT. I bought a hard shell case as well, as it really is a guitar worth looking after. Thank You Artist Guitars, and thank you, the reader, I sincerely hope this review is of value to you. All the best. Brief background, over fifty years buying selling, playing /recording , building, repairing, retailing , valuing and collecting all major brands of guitars.

What a great value 12 string!
In so many ways I've been pleasantly surprised with this guitar purchase. Not only was the shipping incredibly quick and well packed but I was then surprised with the guitar quality. Given the price point there's not much you could complain about. The tuners seem decent, finish was consistent and overall sounds great. If anything the action may be a little high but definitely not a show stopper.

Good guitar for the price
Sound quality is good. The action, however is very high and makes it quite painful to play for some time. The string spacing is farther than my Cort 12-string back home, but it is acceptable. Once I have the time, I will loosen the strings and put lemon oil on the fretboard as it is covered with something powdery, making it very dry.

Artist LSP12CEQNT 12 string acoustic guitar
I've been playing acoustic, electric and bass. Decided to buy this one as I didn't want to pay a fortune for one. I've purchased from Artist Guitars before and was not disappointed. This 12 String is value for money. The quality for the price is amazing. Sounds and feels great to play. Takes a bit of getting used to the tuning though. The strings on the guitar were oxidised from storage, but the spare set supplied, made it easy to re string. Very happy with my purchase.

Pretty good
For its money, it's a good sounding guitar and plays pretty nicely. As it's advertised for beginners though, I would imagine it would turn off some players from 12 string guitar as the action decently high while being advertised as "low for beginners" as well as a pretty wide fretboard. The tuners don't hold tune super well either, but you get what you paid for and overall decent guitar for the price.

Fantastic
I always loved the breadth and tone of twelve-strings, but I am a mediocre acoustic guitarist, so I was never able to justify investing in a brand one. Enter Artist Guitars, and sure enough, for a fraction of the money, you can now play that Wish You Were Here intro flawlessly in your own living room, and take any song you like to strum to a whole different level. Beautiful guitar, great tone, a fantastic introduction to the 12-string... One piece of advice: immediately tune it in D if you don't want to find yourself baffled as to why the high G keeps snapping on you.

This is my first 12 string and I was a little nervous about buying online sight unseen (or rather sound unheard?) Anyway, need not have worried. The finish is immaculate, the tuners are Goldilocks (and so many of them!), action is perfect and the electronics check out. The sound is really very good, the price of this quality is astounding. I'm already practicing Hotel California. Thanks AG!

Beginners 12 string
I played a 6 string as an adolescent and when I saw the opportunity to try a 12 string (at an advanced age) I grabbed it -the holy grail. The entire package is fantastic. But the reviews sold me. I was looking at Fender etc (for the name I knew and lusted after as that adolescent) but was taken by the comments by experienced users. I am stoked - probably about to have a stroke - but it'll be worth it. Thanks Artists!!

Nice Sounding Beginners 12 String
I bought this guitar as an ex-display. The guitar itself is generally well made and sounds great for a "beginners" guitar. It's actually better than a beginners guitar and sounds great. However being hung up for however long it was, there was a few issues with the guitar. Like most guitars, over time the freboard has shrunk slightly leaving the fret ends sharp. For me this was easily fixed. However the bridge also dried out and split between the retaining pins. Although Artist were awesome and we came to an agreement on repairs. I'd definitely recommend putting some fretboard oil on the bridge as well as the fretboard with these guitars with change strings. From new, I wouldn't expect any of these issues though and the guitar sounds great as a good 12 string should. Not boxy like some of the other budget guitars I've played.

Drop 'Beginner' from the name - This guitar is ide
I have picked up a few 12 strings over the years, from cheap to expensive. This one is streets ahead of the cheap ones and well on a par with those costing 5-10 times as much. The action, tone, and intonation are superb. It stays in tune too. If I was to level any criticism it would be that the machine heads are a little stiff, but it is not a big issue.

Acoustic 12 string
I have been looking for a good but inexpensive 12 string acoustic guitar for some time as it was the only guitar I did not have. I owned one when I was a teenager but sold it. Been playing on and off for 50 years and now spend all my time amusing myself playing all my 20 or so instruments. Found it with this one. Easy enough to play (won't be playing too many tunes on it) and has a great sound.

12 string of awesomeness
If you want a reliable, totally solid 12 string this is the one for you. Honestly I've been playing for a little over 15 years it may say beginner but that is just a name. Honestly it plays like butter my students of only a few months can pick this up and play a few chords its that easy to play. Totally grabbed me by surprised the tone from this guitar is god like. The finish is flawless,Internation was spot on and my frets were level to a tee. Cant find a single flaw alll in all if you want a 12 string thats 1 easy to play,2 sounds amazing and 3 looks stuning then you've found it!

What is a cookie
We use cookies and URL information to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the information for which you searched and which you viewed on the Website. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a web site. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Website. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions. Cookies may enable automatic logins when you visit in the future and may enable content customisation.
Some cookies are necessary to allow you to browse our Website, use its features, and access secure areas. The use of these cookies is essential for our Website to work.
We also use functional cookies to remember choices you’ve made or information you’ve provided, such as your username, language, or the region you are in. This allows us to tailor your website experience specifically to your preferences. For example, authentication cookies are functional cookies that are used for the duration of a session (or persistent, if you agree to the “remember me” function) to allow users to authenticate themselves on subsequent visits or to gain access to authorized content across pages. The functional cookies we use include:
• User-centric security cookies to detect authentication abuses for a limited persistent duration, like repeated failed login attempts. These cookies are set for the specific task of increasing the security of our Website.
• Multimedia content player session cookies (flash cookies) are used for the duration of a session to store technical data needed to play back video or audio content (e.g. image quality, network link speed, and buffering parameters).
• Load balancing session cookies are used for the duration of the session to identify the same server in the pool in order for the load balancer to redirect user requests appropriately.
• User interface customisation persistent cookies are used to store a user’s preference regarding a service across web pages.
We use many tools to help us improve our Website. To this end, we use reporting and analytics cookies to collect information about how you use our Website and how often. These cookies only gather information for statistical purposes and only use pseudonymous cookie identifiers that do not directly identify you. The performance cookies we use include:
• First party analytics cookies - we use these cookies to estimate the number of unique visitors, to improve our Website and to detect the most searched for words in search engines that lead to our Website. We use these cookies to learn how our Website is performing and make relevant improvements to improve your browsing experience.
• Third party analytics cookies - we also use Google Analytics and other third-party analytics providers listed below to help measure how users interact with our Website content. These cookies “remember” what our users have done on previous pages and how they’ve interacted with our Website. For more information on Google Analytics, visit Google’s information page. For instructions on how opt out of Google Analytics, see below.
Advertising cookies are used on our Website to tailor marketing to you and your interests and provide you with a more personalized service in the future. These cookies remember that you visited our Website and we may share this information with third-parties, such as advertisers. Although these cookies can track your device’s visits to our Website and other sites, they typically cannot personally identify you. Without these cookies, the advertisements that you see may be less relevant and interesting to you. Read more about how companies use cookies to conduct targeted or retargeted advertising here.
Social and Content cookies are placed by many social media plugins (for example the Facebook ’like’ button), and other tools meant to provide or improve the content on a website (for example services that allow the playing of video files, or that create comments sections). We integrate these modules into our Website to improve the experience of browsing and interacting with our Website. Please note that some of these third party services place cookies that are also used for things like behavioural advertising, analytics, and/or market research.
We also use third party vendor re-marketing tracking cookies, including:
• the Google Adwords tracking cookie;
• the Facebook Pixel; and
• SmartrMail tracking cookie.
You can opt out of Google's use of cookies or device identifiers by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or control the use of device identifiers by using your device’s settings.
Third parties, including Google may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from the Service and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. You can opt out of the collection and use of information for ad targeting using aboutads.info/choices
Many of the third party advertising and other tracking services listed above offer you the opportunity to opt out of their tracking systems. You can read more about the information they collect and how to opt out through the privacy policy links listed above.
To opt out of these communications please visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page.
How long will cookies remain on my computer or mobile device?
The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they are downloaded to your device.
How do I control cookies?
You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our Website may no longer be fully accessible.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser’s “Tools” or “Preferences” menu. For more information on how to modify your browser settings or how to block, manage or filter cookies can be found in your browser’s help file or through such sites as: www.allaboutcookies.org.
