NUX MG101 Guitar Modelling Processor Multi-Effects Pedal
The NUX MG-101 is an entry-level amp modeller and multi-effects processor designed to give beginners and experienced players an intuitive platform for exploring tone. It combines ease of use with powerful features, making it ideal for home practice, live performance, recording, or live streaming.
At its core is NUX’s TSAC-HD (True Simulation of Analog Circuit – High Definition) amp modelling engine, which uses a white-box modelling approach to capture the complex dynamics of analog amplifiers. The MG-101 reproduces the harmonic response, touch sensitivity, and chaotic unpredictability of real tube amps, offering a natural feel and dynamic playability. Core-Image post-effects technology ensures high-quality processing across the signal chain.
The MG-101 features 10 fully routable effect blocks and a wide range of essential tones and effects, from overdrives and distortions to modulation, delay, and reverb. It includes 25 factory-loaded IRs (Impulse Responses) that match the character of the onboard amp models, along with 12 user IR slots for loading custom cabinet responses. IRs run at 512-sample resolution for detailed, accurate tone reproduction.
An integrated Phrase Looper with stereo and mono modes (20 and 40 seconds, respectively) makes it easy to build layered guitar parts, while the onboard drum machine with auto tempo detection keeps your loops and practice sessions tight. A built-in metronome further supports timing and rhythm training.
The MG-101 also supports USB connectivity for direct-to-phone live streaming (via OTG adapter), and features a TRRS jack for use with headsets, making it simple to capture audio and engage with audiences in real time. The unit doubles as a USB audio interface, letting you record directly into your DAW or mobile device.
For deep editing and preset management, the MG-101 is compatible with the QuickTone™ Editor for Mac and PC. This software allows players to tweak amp models, rearrange effects, and save custom patches with ease.
