Inspired by a long lineage of vintage pre-war parlour guitars, the Artist PSM200L represents the synthesis of 21st-century design principles and old-world aesthetics. Meticulously handcrafted by the same team of 5 skilled luthiers who brought the Artist GG1EQ to life, the PSM200L sports a triple-A grade solid Sitka Spruce top alongside stunningly grained solid African Mahogany along the back and sides, yielding the harmonically balanced tone this combination is renowned for: subtle compression with sparkling overtones and a tight low-end ‘punch’. In concert with European Spruce and African Mahogany bracing, every tonewood on the PSM200L has been carefully selected to ensure a complementary effect on the resulting tone. With a 5-piece Mahogany neck that seamlessly meets an Ebony fingerboard, the PSM200L's 20 frets, crafted from a tough 25% nickel mix, promise superior wear resistance and playability over time.

Dressed to the nines in a smoky vintage burst finish, this one exudes vintage mojo, bolstered by the inclusion of a slotted headstock usually found on the kind of pre-war twelve-fret acoustic guitars that are whispered of in reverent tones. Not purely aesthetic, this style of headstock provides a greater break angle that exerts more downward tension on the PSM200Ls lubricated bone nut for increased sustain and resonance. With the neck joining the body at the fourteenth fret, the PSM200L nods its head to these sought-after models while still offering the range of playability up the neck that the modern guitarist has come to expect.

An Ebony bridge, bone saddle, and high-ratio, vintage-style Der Jung tuning machines are the final touches that bring this one home, keeping the PSM200L singing until this vintage-inspired parlour guitar truly becomes that which it aims to evoke. This one might come out of the hard case looking brand new, but it yearns to be played until it wears a scar or two, taking on a life of its own in the ailing light of the nameless bars across the world that witness its song.
