Artist BullBucker Electric Guitar Humbucker Pickup Neck - Black
Artist BullBucker Humbucker Pickup Neck - Black
Classic moderate output humbucker based on the popular Jazz model. Especially popular in the neck position. Great for jazz, and also country, blues, funk, classic rock and heavy rock. Provides an articulate and clear tone. Great for fast runs. The brighter tone has slightly less output and is a good match with most bridge pickups. When distorted, the tone is full and bright. Smooth sustain.
Works especially well mahogany body guitars with rosewood fingerboards. They are wax potted and can be used as Split Coil Humbuckers which allows the humbucker to effectively become a single coil. All Artist Bullbucker humbuckers have four-conductor hookup wires and use the same standard wire colour code.
Top Coil Polarity: South
Bottom Coil Polarity: North
South start: Yellow wire (Also known as Inside Screw wire) This is your Hot wire.
South finish: Red wire (Outside screw wire)
North finish: White wire (outside slug wire)
North start: Black wire, taped with bare ground wire. (Also known as Inside Slug wire)
To use this as a standard humbucker in series configuration, the White & Red wires are soldered together and taped; Black is ground and Yellow is Hot Output.
If you want to coil-split, then attach the Red and White wires to the coil switch. This means that when coil splitting, Black and White are not involved because they are both grounded, which deactivates the North coil.
Because this setup is the same on the Neck pickup, coil splitting both and using the middle position will not hum cancel, because they will both be using the south coil and will have the same polarity.

Great all round humbuckersBy: Michael H on 27 September 2016Hi I purchased a set of Black Artist Bullbucker pickups. I installed them in my Epiphone Les Paul and I as they have screw wind out posts I set the guitar up with 2mm between the poles and the strings fretted at the last fret and away she goes, it is almost as if the pups are active they are very strong and done everything from clean, overdriven to Distortion. I mainly play clean with a tad of overdrive, they sound great. Cheers Michael.
