About These Strings

Ernie Ball 2215 Skinny Top/Heavy Bottom Slinky Electric Guitar Strings are the perfect hybrid set for those who like thick bottom strings without sacrificing the ability to solo on smaller strings. The wound strings are made from nickel-plated, steel wire wrapped around a hex-shaped steel core wire. The plain strings are made of specially tempered, tin-plated, high-carbon steel, producing a well-balanced tone for your guitar.

Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and most exacting specs to assure consistency, optimum performance, and long life.

Ernie Ball is the pioneer of rock and roll guitar strings. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, and Slash are among the long list of Slinky players.

All Ernie Ball strings have hermetically sealed foil packaging that defends your strings from humidity, ensuring fresh tone as if they had been made just for you, right here in the USA. All insert labels are made from 100% recycled materials.

I love these strings- super skinny tops for bright tones and mega chunky bottoms for that chugga-chugga bristiling sound. Ernie Ball's quality of string cannot be beat and they make my guitar really sing.

Skinny Top Heavy Bottom

Have'nt used these gauges since the seventies when I used them on a Tele so I thought I would give them a whirl. They felt great straight off the bat, the heavier bottoms give low end chords authority and the skinny tops make slow or double bends a breeze so they're a great Rock, Blues or Country, I'm jazzed enough that I'm going to buy a twelve pack.
