The Artist ELST1046 are our standard Electric Guitar nickel strings, which come stock with many of our beginner guitars. Perfect for any style of music at standard tuning, these affordable nickel strings will make it easy to give your guitar a fresh pair of strings and make your instrument sound as good as possible. The strings have been individually sealed to ensure the string-changing process is as easy as possible.

We use Courier services to ship our goods to you as fast as possible. Once the package leaves our warehouse the time to your door depends on your location, and any reported delays in your area.
We ship all orders for free. All deliveries are insured so if an item arrives damaged we'll happily refund or replace it for you. Check our warranty page for more information.
Purchases with Artist Guitars come with a 3-year Warranty. Warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and in the original country of purchase. Please take note of your order number to help us verify your purchase in the event of a warranty claim.
If the issue can be fixed by replacing a part, we will send it to you free of charge. Spare parts are shipped from our office in Sydney, Australia. If more extensive work is required our Customer Happiness department will arrange a free return slip or courier collection to get your item returned for further assessment.
Also included in your warranty is our industry leading 100 Days Change of Mind Policy
If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of any of our products, we'll be happy to arrange a free return of your product for an exchange or full refund, including any shipping charges. This also covers instances where you may have bought the wrong size or if you simply change your mind.
If you do require a return, just Open a Support Ticket and we'll either send you a reply paid label for Australia Post or arrange for a collection by courier. This will depend on your location and the product you purchased. If you have any trouble you can contact us.

Not for my Les Paul
As much as i love the price of these strings and use them for all my guitars, i cannot use them on my Les Paul Studio. The high E string keeps undwinding from the ball end at the stop bar. At first i thought i put it on wrong somehow so i tried again. Then i thought there was something wrong with the stop bar. Third, fourth and fifth time i just came to the conclusion that the strong was just not wound far out enough for the wrap to get caught on the inside of the stop bar therefore getting caught in there and when winding it up to the, it starts to unwrap itself. It's a shame since i use my Les Paul a lot and never had issues with it when using other brand strings. Would it be possible to have your strings wound further out to stop this from happening? Would much appreciate it.

I bought these to put on my guitars I don’t use often. They feel nice and look good. I wouldn’t recommend these for a guitar you play everyday as they don’t seem to last long after playing but other than that they work well for the price. I would buy these again.

The Perfect Guitar
I bought this guitar because I have been very satisfied with other Artist products. When I saw this all single coil Tele look-a-like I knew I wanted it. Finally, a Tele with a Strats bodycuts. It looks great and feels great. It's the right weight and feels balanced. The sound is very good, it has plenty of poke for single coils, more than I expected. I like a lot!

Great Value Guitar Strings For "Standard" Sized Gu
These strings are great value, especially when you buy in bulk. The savings can be nearly 50% on the pack of one. They sound pretty good considering the price. Each string is individually wrapped, so you can split the pack to mix and match if you break just one string. Although there are a couple of downsides I've found. The strings do rust a little quicker than say Ernie Balls or DiAddario's (and I don't sweat on them and clean my hands before playing). Secondly, they're shorter than other brands. If you're putting them on a standard sized guitar (LP, SG, Tele, strat etc), they're fine. However, I tried to install them on a semi hollow that I have with a tail piece and 3 per side tuners. They're just too short for that one, so a little extra length on the strings would be nice. Other than that, they're good value and you can afford to change the strings more regularly if required.

These strings are pretty affordable and they definitely do the job. They sound pretty decent, they aren't too bright or too mellow. Definitely not perfect, they do tend to rust faster than other strings I've used. But overall, pretty good for the price.

Great 1st experience with Artist ELST1046 electric
I'm pretty impressed with the Artist electric guitar strings I purchased online. These strings tuned up and settled in as well as the better known brands I've used over the last 42 years. They hold their tune despite my style of playing with lots of bends on a Strat with the trem up floating as Leo Fender intended and are very stable. Bright enough to require rolling off the tone on my guitar when new, the Artist strings held their crisp tone quite as well as better known brands. Now after a couple of weeks of home use, they still sound good and I haven't broken any and they haven't tarnished much considering I rust everything I touch. Overall, these strings are darn good value for money and I'll purchase more soon. Highly recommended!

You gets what you pay for!
I wanted the cheapest possible strings as quickly as possible to put on a friends guitar, so I'm not necessarily dissatisfied with my purchase. But if I'm reviewing the strings on their merit as serviceable guitar strings, then these are the worst strings I've ever put on a guitar. The thing with steel cored guitar strings, is the steel MUST have the right amount of carbon. Too much carbon, the steel is brittle and weak. These strings are weak because they're too soft, in other words, not enough carbon. How do I know? I managed to put serious kinks in the unwound strings just getting them out of their individual packets! I string the guitar using this technique - http://www.fretnotguitarrepair.com/repair/acoustic-guitar/string-changing.php This was too much for the high E string in this set, and the string broke at the tuning peg just trying to tune it ti pitch. Super weak. These strings are not even suitable for a student-level player. Even if these strings were all you could afford, I'd still recommend waiting till you had a bit more money and just get some D'Addario's!

Best 6 dollars ever spent.
I was given a second hand Squire Stratocaster by my children for one of my many Birthdays several years ago. The guitar always sounded a bit sad and out of tune even though it was perfectly tuned with correct intonation. It sounded a bit like a randy tomcat courting by moonlight. Anyway, I started to think that maybe a new set of strings could make a difference. And a difference it made, when I finally spent the 6 dollars. If you are looking for a affordable string that does not blow your budget, give Artist strings a go. Are they perfect? No. Are they good. Yes, they are very good. The Artist ELST1046 strings have brought my sad old guitar back to life.

Good strings at an excellent price
I break a lot of strings being a blues style player, so I am pleased with the Artist Guitars strings. Bought them on ebay, and they are less than half the price that I normally pay in stores. Strings are just fine, good tone, and for someone who breaks strings a fair bit, these strings are great as they are a very good buy at such a low price. Highly recommend these strings if you need a lot of strings, or want something that is as good as named brands without the cost.

G'day , I'm just an average guitar player, but I own a number of instruments. I'm always complaining about the cost of replacing strings so my wife surprised me by ordering a couple of sets of the Artist ELST1046. Up until now I've used the 'D' brand and was ordering them from the states to cut costs. Anyway, I'm very happy with them and we have just ordered another batch, so they'll be here in a couple of days from Sydney. They feel good under the fingers and they hold their tuning well.
