Artist AT53 White Electric Guitar w/ Hand Made Pickups

What you've been waiting for is here! For those of you who prefer your guitars to look a little less battle-worn, we're introducing the AT53 in a non-relic nitrocellulose finish!

The latest in our much-lauded range of TC-style guitars, the Artist AT53 pairs the best elements of vintage guitar design with modern features to bring you an instrument that straddles the line between innately familiar and excitingly new. With a classic-looking roasted maple neck finished with a comfortable satin feel, the high-grade locking tuners and rosewood fretboard (at a lightning-quick 14-inch radius), make for a guitar that belies its own old-world aesthetic. With its stunning nitrocellulose finish, a material used mainly on guitars crafted prior to the 1970s, the AT53 sustains amazingly for such a lightweight instrument!

Having tested untold amounts of pickup options, we settled on a set of high-end, hand-made single coils wound by the Laohao workshop, a small team producing boutique batches of custom pickups to a frankly unbelievable standard. Paired with 250k pots, the AT53 has that signature single-coil twang we all know and love! Every detail has been pored over with this one - a bone nut, copper foil shielding, a wheeled string tree and locking strap buttons are among a host of features that make this your perfect modern instrument!

AT53 White Electric guitar

By: on 21 October 2025
My wife (Ina Smith) surprised me with this guitar. I love it and it loves me. I am not the worlds best guitarist (I'm a Singer/Drummer) but because it is so good to play, I play every day thus improving my playing. I'm even playing out front of the band in some songs. I have some professional guitarist friends who have Artist guitars and we all love them. Thanks Artist and thanks to Ina (wife). Pete Smith PS You can use the above email address from now on if you want.

THIS GUITAR IS AMAZING

By: on 12 October 2025
I took the guitar out of the box and was immediately wowed by the beautiful nitro finish, the dark rosewood board and the superb fret work. This is a hell of a lot of guitar for the pricepoint. The neck needed a quarter turn to tighten up the relief, then it all fell into place and played superb. The bone nut is perfectly cut. I spent my first day with the AT53 just playing it unplugged... to play her in. Slight tuning issues at the beginning, but after stretching out the strings and playing for a couple hours it all settled down and now she holds tune like a champ. My only complaint is with the QC sticker on the back of the headstock. It's a bitch to remove and I ended up damaging some of the wood scraping it off. I am really impressed how well the compensated barrels allow for excellent intonation. Plugging her in, I was ever so slightly disappointed with how dark the neck pickup is, but I expected this. It's a common thing with Tele's; too warm a neck pickup. But at this price point, I'm certainly not going to complain and pickups, pots & jacks are the things that can easily be replaced... if you want to get the best out of a guitar. The body, weight, playability, frets, neck are all off the charts good. Insane value for the price. I've put some Fender PV 64's in and now this guitar has become my #1 Tele. I adore it. It's rekindled a love for long playing sessions and it sounds sublime into an AC30 at volume. Thankyou Artist for delivering incredible value for money!

Ridiculously Good

By: on 7 October 2025
This arrived today and it is a great guitar. It came well set up and intonated, but I decided to lower the action a bit. This was made easier by the frets, which are perfectly dressed. There are no high frets at all, and the fret ends are very tidy. The neck feels great and the fit and finish exceeded my expectations. The nut is well cut and smooth, and wouldn’t be out of place on a much more expensive guitar. The pickups sound really good, and they balance well together. The bridge pickup really rocks. The pots and switch are of decent quality, but I did have to tighten the pots in the control plate by removing the knobs, as both were quite loose. That was the only flaw I could find. For the price, this guitar is unreal. I have more expensive Fender Strats, which are my guitar of choice, but I really wanted a Tele. I don’t regret buying this instead of a Fender Player II. It’s about 1/3 the price and has to be just as good. Weighs 2.8kg and feels like an expensive guitar. I watched several YouTube reviews which sang the praises of this guitar, and I am glad to say that I am not disappointed. I had high hopes, but it is better than I expected. Great purchase!
