Artist AS72 Red Paisley Relic Electric Guitar w/ Hand-Made Pickups

The Artist AS72 comes bounding through time, from the paddocks of Woodstock 1969 into your waiting hands - but not without a quick stop off to catch up with the times! We painstakingly relic'd the vintage-style nitrocellulose finish on these, adding a scar here and a gash there to give your brand-new guitar that well-loved look. The roasted maple satin neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard, a material becoming rarer by the day within the worldwide guitar market. The 14" fingerboard radius allows for super low action and effortless bends, while glow-in-the-dark fret markers on the side of the neck map the fretboard on even the darkest of pub stages.

Having tested untold amounts of pickup options, we settled on a set of high-end, hand-made pickups wound by the Laohao workshop, a small team producing low-quantity batches of custom pickups to a frankly unbelievable standard. The bridge humbucker provides a bit more bite than your average S-type guitar, while the neck and middle positions sound that familiar quack we all know and love. Each AS72 comes with copper shielding, making it whisper quiet when you're not playing!

A bone nut, locking tuners, strap locks, and a modern-style bridge will keep your tuning stable, and your guitar strapped to your shoulder... you won't want to scratch your new favourite guitar!

There may be slight variations between the paisley finishes on each AS72. This is due to the paisley finish being applied by hand.

Vintage charm with modern playability

Absolutely blown away with the quality of this guitar. Flawless finish, gorgeous clear sounding pickups and buzz free low action with silky smooth bends thanks to the 14" radius and stainless steel frets. This thing plays just as good (if not better) than my other guitars triple the price. Absolute no brainer if your looking for something with a vintage vibe, but with modern specs and playability.

Outstanding Value for Money - Very playable Guitar

By: on 7 April 2024
This guitar is outstanding value. After a change of strings, a little graphite in the nut which was catching the G-string and a mere 1/8th turn of the truss rod to eliminate some buzzing, this guitar plays as well as the $5K Custom So-Cal Charvel that sits in the rack beside it. Very surprised with the lovely flat, wide 14in radius fingerboard that plays so well, a very fast neck with a low 1.5mm action at the 12th fret (low E) after the tweak and no buzz! Easy to pull some great super strat tones from clean to scream. Very happy with this guitar. Comes with a better setup than any Fender Player series guitars I have tried recently in shops at $500 more.
