Artist AS30 Flame Electric Guitar w/ HSS Pickups & Padded Bag

Combining the very best of ultra-modern aesthetic design with pure vintage comfort, the Artist AS30 is the flashiest gigging workhorse going around. With a bound roasted poplar body topped with a shimmering flame maple veneer, the AS30 is an absolute head turner, built to show off under stage lights or on the living room wall - but don't let that fool you... this is a guitar made to handle whatever you ask of it.

With 22 medium jumbo frets spanning the length of a satin-finished light-roasted maple neck, the AS30 feels immediately familiar in the hands, courtesy of a classic 9.5" radius maple fretboard built for shredders and rhythm players alike! A classic C-shape neck profile belies the AS30's flashy exterior, giving this one an ultra-comfortable feel for players of all persuasions. The vintage-style six-screw tremolo gives you the option to engage in classic rock screams and wails to your heart's content, safe in the knowledge that your tuning will remain rock-steady thanks to a set of high-grade chrome tuning machines and a rock-solid 42mm ABS nut.

With a versatile HSS configuration, the AS30 can handle metal and jazz with equal aplomb, courtesy of a medium output set of Alnico V single coils in the neck and middle positions, and a rollicking Alnico V humbucker in the bridge, for those about to chug! Switch to the neck position for silky smooth classic rock sounds, or get that vintage out-of-phase quack in positions 2 and 4. If you're feeling the need for speed, the bridge humbucker has plenty of gain on tap to drive the front end of your amp for searing overdrive tones galore - perfect for shoegaze, metal, punk, classic rock, and everything in between! Flick the switch to split the coil on the bridge humbucker for spanking single-coil lead tones!

Each AS30 comes complete with a road-ready padded gig bag, perfect for transport from the practice space to the stage, and beyond. Like the gig bag that houses it, the AS30 will take you anywhere you need to go... and it will take you there in style.

My New Main Axe

By: on 12 December 2025
Whoever set up this guitar is a legend. Low action with no fret buzz anywhere, with the floating trem already working!! Only thing I had to do was adjust the intonation ever so slightly (probably just due to transit across the country). Tuning stability is good. Stays in tune when using the bar for vibrato but ideally will require a retune after using it more aggressively (which I think is reasonable anyway haha). The neck feels smooth and fast, solid and secure, like you feel supported when you play, and can really sink into each note. Can do the strat thing, but you can also totally shred on it. I got this guitar because I didn't have one with single coils yet, but the HSS style with a coil split means I can use the humbucker (which also sounds great!) for heavier things too. Pick-ups sound clear. Quickly becoming my main axe, and probably the best quality and most versatile guitar I own. Oh yeah and it looks gorgeous!! (I got the blue one)
