Featuring a solid roasted poplar body finished in a sleek gloss, paired with a modern C profile roasted maple neck and fretboard, the neck on the AS20 feels every bit as good as the guitars you're too scared to bring outside the studio! With an ultra-smooth satin-finished neck and tough 25% nickel frets, this one plays like butter, but is tough enough to withstand years of rough and tumble gigging without a refret.
With a set of vintage-output ceramic single-coil pickups, the AS20 avoids the harshness usually associated with higher-output ceramic pickups, with the lower winding instead yielding bright, sparkling tones with plenty of mid-range warmth, perfect for everything from glassy sparkle to wild fuzz goodness. A high-output humbucker in the bridge position gives this one even more versatility, bringing wild saturated leads and high-octane metal chugging to the table.
