Artist AS10 Electric Guitar w/ Single Coil Pickups & Padded Bag

The Artist AS10 is the ultimate value electric guitar for gigging pros and beginners alike. Whether you're just starting or looking for an affordable guitar to tour with, the AS10 delivers professional feel and features at a beginner-friendly price.

Featuring a solid roasted poplar body finished in a sleek gloss, paired with a modern C profile roasted maple neck and fretboard, the neck on the AS10 feels every bit as good as the guitars you're too scared to bring outside the studio! With an ultra-smooth satin-finished neck and tough 25% nickel frets, this one plays like butter, but is tough enough to withstand years of rough and tumble gigging without a refret.

With a set of vintage-output ceramic single-coil pickups, the AS10 avoids the harshness usually associated with higher-output ceramic pickups, with the lower winding instead yielding bright, sparkling tones with plenty of mid-range warmth, perfect for everything from glassy sparkle to wild fuzz goodness. The vintage-style six-screw tremolo gives you the option to engage in classic rock screams and wails to your heart's content, safe in the knowledge that your tuning will remain rock-steady thanks to a set of high-grade chrome tuning machines and a rock-solid 42mm ABS nut.

If that wasn't enough, the AS10 comes complete with a road-ready padded gig bag, perfect for transport to school, lessons, or for the back of a van to the green room, ad infinitum!

Artist AS10 Strat style guitar

By: on 26 February 2026
This is the best $229 I have spent on an item of musical gear in 50 years of playing with guitars! The finish on this instrument is perfect. Neck is dead straight and perfectly aligned with the bridge. The fret work is of an unbelievably high standard, not just for the price bracket, but by any standard. I have purchased a number of expensive guitars from the big name brands over the years and not one of them could compare with the standard of fret work and set up this guitar came with out of the box. Every one of those instruments had to be set up by a tech. Not this one. High level of polish and smoothness, low action and absolutely no fret buzz. Nut is cut perfectly. The pickups are well adjusted and sound great for the style of music I play (mostly chord melody). It holds tune well and the satin finished neck feels very comfortable, the edges of which actually feel ever so slightly rolled. It has a full depth body too (unlike my Squier Sonic's anorexic body), so upgrading the electronics to quality full sized pots and switch should be easily doable if desired. However I am finding the standard electronics absolutely fine. I also currently own a Squier Sonic Strat and a MIJ ST 57 VSP. This guitar leaves the Sonic for dead and actually compares favourably with the Japanese made Strat. The gig bag is also awesome. The padding is about 20 mm thick and it has a good neck cradle also. If you are considering adding a (another) Strat to your arsenal I can highly recommend these. Well done Artist Guitars, you've nailed again! Thank you.

I didn't need another guitar but when I saw the AS10 deal come across my inbox I just had to have it as it was just too good a deal. Once received it didn't disappoint. It has a great tone and playability and the contoured neck is fantastic. Highly recommend this guitar.
