Planet Waves CP-09 Black NS Tri-Action Capo
The NS Tri-Action capo in black assures buzz-free, in-tune performance at any fret. The patent-pending Tri-Action geometry reduces the force required to open and close the capo and applies even tension regardless of neck profile. Combined with the micrometre tension adjustment and direct horizontal pressure, the Tri-Action Capo virtually eliminates pulling the strings side to side and the need to retune during use. Additionally, the lightweight aluminium construction adds negligible weight to the neck of the instrument. The capo features an integrated pick holder and is a Ned Steinberger design.

Thanks for all the support. Cheers.
Planet Waves CP09 Black NS Tri-Action CapoThis is my first capo. I researched it before my purchase and found a lot of good reviews about this product. I placed my order on a Wednesday and received it the following day. Very impressed with the speedy delivery. I have been using it for 2 weeks now. It works as described. Happy with the purchase.
Better than your average capoAccording to my long-suffering wife, I own far too many instruments (“But honestly, dear, every guitarist needs at least 10 guitars and 5 basses like me!”). And so it follows that I also have more than my share of capos — from Artist to Shubb to Kyser to G7th to Thalia (and a few others I’ve undoubtedly forgotten). Each has inherent strengths and weaknesses; some are harder to fit or adjust, others apply too much (or too little) pressure for a particular neck profile, and so on. This Planet Waves CP-09 is an interesting item, in that it includes a precise micrometer adjustment that makes it a breeze to dial in the optimum setting on a case-by-case basis and, for that reason, I quite like it. Combine that with a robust aluminium construction (lightweight!), with surprisingly little force needed to open and close it, and you have a capo that works well in a performance situation ………. One small negative is that it’s rather “tall” in profile (roughly 9.5 cm), meaning that there’s quite a bit protruding below the neck of your guitar, but that’s just an aesthetic thing, and I haven’t found that it impedes my playing in any way. It even has an in-built “pick holder”, although for me that’s a gimmick I don’t use. Adapts well to just about any six-string (I’ve tried it on solid-body electrics and various acoustics, and even on a classical, although the wider neck of the latter means that this capo is probably not ideal, and you’d be better off with a specific “classical” capo). ………. Would I buy another if I lost this one? Definitely — someone did some good thinking in designing the CP-09.
