Artist AT69 Thinline Black Electric Guitar w/ P90 Pickups

You asked and we delivered! We're stoked to introduce the brand-new Artist AT69 Thinline to the range for 2024. Featuring a set of medium-output stacked P90 pickups, this classy-looking semi-hollow delivers breathy blues tones that break up brilliantly when paired with a cranked tube amplifier. The C-shaped roasted maple neck, bone nut, locking tuners, and modern-style six-saddle bridge ensure the AT69 performs just as superbly as it sounds, staying perfectly in tune as you bend your heart out!

The semi-hollow construction of the AT69's poplar body makes it a lighter alternative to a solid body. Single master and tone knobs make the AT69 elegantly simple to dial in - just strap it on, turn up your amp, and get out of the way... the AT69 will do the rest.

AT69 Tele Thinline

By: on 2 October 2024
Picked up one of these last week & wow I'm impressed. Was a bit suss on the baked maple and satin finished neck but I needn't have been. Threw my fave strings on it, (NY D'Addario XL11-49S) and had an absolute blast & a half ! The guitar itself needed no adjustment out of the box - though I might lower the action a tad. Everything was rock solid on it - nothing unfinished . I already own a LP 59 black burst which was just as impressive out of the box. I applaud Artist for raising their prices a little but raising their QC by A LOT, compared to their early years. From my experience, I honestly think you can have total confidence in whatever instrument you buy from them now.

Another Brilliant Artist Guitar

By: on 8 August 2024
Honestly, I bought this AT69 on a drunken impulse but having received it within a few days I have absolutely no regrets! First Impression - straight out of the box it’s a beautifully finished instrument, lustrous black body & a divine roasted maple neck. The frets are excellent, no high spots or sharp ends at all. The locking tuners are great too. Setup - the action as it came is perfectly playable but I’ll probably lower it a bit, the intonation was almost spot on, I had to use my Boss TU12 tuner to identify the slight variations as my clip on tuner wasn’t sensitive enough to pick up the tiny differences. Pickup height is just fine but I may change it when I lower the action. First Play - Damn this thing is nice to play, reasonably light weight, as you’d expect from a thinline, & the neck is absolutely divine! Super smooth & playable, can’t fault it at all. I love the 12” radius fretboard & the C profile is very comfy. No issues at all with buzzes or high frets, easy to tune & it held tune without issue overnight despite bends aplenty. Plugged In - the P90’s are everything I hoped they would be & add some nice variations I just don’t get on my other Telecasters. Overall - I couldn’t be happier with the guitar, looks feel and playability are all up there with the best of them making this guitar incredibly good value for money. This is my 6th Artist guitar and definitely won’t be my last!

Great all rounder

By: on 18 July 2024
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this purchase at my front door. It's a beautiful guitar for a very good price. The neck has a great feel and the P90 pick-ups are crystal clear and very different to that of my Strat, Tele and Gibson. It's a great go to guitar in the rack which I have already used for recording purposes. If there was a negative, (and I'm being pedantic here) it's slightly on the heavy side, but no more heavier than the Tele! Great job Artist!

I can't put it down

By: on 6 July 2024
I've had a few Artist guitars over the journey. I've gigged the TC59 (who cares if it's heavy. So is a Les Paul). Got one of these. All works as intended. Neck seems the same as the TC59 which is good as I like a thicker neck. Fretwork good. The body is heavy for a thinline but not silly. The pots all work well. Sounds are excellent. Not a massive difference between the P90 and humbucker mode. Maybe the humbucker is fuller however no volume difference which is excellent. Finish excellent. Tones great through my Marshall head into a 2x12. Much better than my Squier FSR thinline which cost more than double and doesn't sound or feel as good.

AT69 Thinline P90

By: on 5 July 2024
Wow what a cool guitar and plays great. I can't believe the quality of this guitar for the price, you would expect to pay a lot more if this was made by a well known brand. The satin neck on this is so easy to play and cannot fault the fretwork. If you are looking for a tele style guitar that has a bit more beef in the pickup department you would not be disappointed if you grabbed one of these. Highly recommend and will be considering more Artist guitars if the quality is on par with this one.

Artist AT69: Great Design, Sounds Divine for Minim

By: on 4 July 2024
WOW! The Artist AT69 is a standout choice for any guitarist! The Thinline Telecaster shape and P90 pickups provide a versatile range of tones, from bright and punchy to warm and mellow, perfect for various genres like rock, blues, and jazz. The build quality is exceptional, with a well-crafted body that offers excellent resonance and sustain. The neck is smooth and comfortable, making it easy to play. Out of the box, I was impressed with the factory setup, smooth frets and fresh strings. This is outstanding value for money - we are truly not worthy of Artist guitars! In conclusion the AT69 is an excellent option for those seeking quality and versatility without breaking the bank. Should I get another?

Artist's 1st perfect guitar. Stunning build quali

By: on 17 June 2024
Brutal review here. Having been over the frets, tuners, intonation, paint, finishing, neck, electronics etc; this guitar is perfect. Had a really really high action, so I had to adjust that. But the rifle barrel straight neck and perfectly polished frets have zero buzz. The pickups are as promised, the same as in the LP59GT90. Sublime, dynamic and just a little chimney. WEIGHT: 3.7kg. So not a featherweight. But. Perfectly balanced. NECK: Goldilocks. A fraction thicker than usual C profile. NUT: Perfectly cut. BRIDGE/STRING ALIGNMENT: Perfect. TUNERS: All six smooth as butter. UNPLUGGED/SUSTAIN: Loud and long with great even tone. I love that Hank is on the QC sticker. Is Hank a real person? It must be a different Hank. Because of 31 guitars purchased over 15 years, this is my first perfect one. As good as my Fender deluxe strat that cost me 4K. Wow.

A great sounding little axe

By: on 15 June 2024
I have several Artist guitars, so it was no surprise when this turned up ready to play. This thing is light, punchy and well balanced on a strap. Plugging in to my Peavey C30 yielded excellent tones straight up. In the past, you could expect to do some minor tweaking to any guitar in this price range, such as polishing the frets, adjusting the action or fine tuning the intonation. Happily, this bad boy arrived needing none of that. The frets, in particular, are shiny and completely smooth when fretting or bending. The finish on the body is perfect, and the satin finish on the neck feels awesome. As a whole this thing leaves my name brand guitars for dead, in their cases behind the wardrobe.
