Forget mixing or monitoring with these out of the box. Like most budget cans there is an upper midrange suck out which exposes the bass and treble. Modern pop recordings such as Radiohead sounds too bright. However. Velour and vinyl replacement ear pads reduced the bass. Then 3mm of cotton felt cut into a circle and placed in front of the drivers and you have a serious set of headphones. My usual cans are Massdrop Senn hd 65x which are supurb and these are very close. The only difference is slight lack of bass control on some recordings. Otherwise outstanding.

I wasn't sure what I was expecting with a brand name like "Superlux". These are clearly modeled after the Beyer dynamic DT-770's. Having said this the build quality is quite good for a set of can in this price range, or any range for that matter. The metal frame that holds the cups are sturdy. While the cups seem to be plastic it does seem solid and doesn't feel like plastic. The ear cups have soft plastic pads that feel comfortable and the headband can be replaced and removed with metal button clips. They do feel quite comfortable but the ear pads could be removed and replaced with the velour grey cups that fit the DT770's. The provided pads feel quite comfortable. The curled cord is long enough to be a couple of feet away from the device your using. I've been using this with a smartphone in my pocket with no problems. Comes with a 3.5mm jack and a screw on adapter to use with a 5mm headphone input. While the jack is large there was enough clearance for it fit around the input on my phone case. These headphones have an impedance rating of 150 written on the side so may require a fair bit of use to drive, but I tested them on a few devices and had no trouble driving them. Using these on a LG V20 with a quad-dac they sounded phenomenal. It sounds quite open and a with a bit of separation between the frequencies. The bass frequencies sound quite deep but still fairly detailed highs and mids. I found listening to a wide range of music through these very enjoyable with the separation and wideness a feature. I have a set of Audiotechnica M50x's and I greatly prefer these for music listening and the Superlux HD-330s are my new favorites. To get a comparable sound with other manufacturers offer you'd be looking to spend 3 to 4 times what these go for. I was blown away with the sound these give. Highly recommended.

Nice cans.

For a small price, these do well as simple monitoring cans. They don't have a long lead, so I wouldn't be wanting to use them over a large distance. But in saying that, for close up monitoring/mixing, these are well suited. Have had several expensive sets and these are pretty responsive and give a nice clear reproduction. I wouldn't want much more than these for use in a simple recording/monitoring application. Well priced and well made. Thanks AG.

Very nice headphones

AK4497 DAC and Shiit Magni Uber as a setup. Nice pair of cans, clearly modelled after Beyerdynamics DT line. Not far off in both build and sound quality (mind you, Beyerdynamics DT are EXCELLENT cans). Nice, open, detailed sound, good fit but beware if you have a large head, max settings aren't too big. Biggest problem is probably cable - not particularly stellar cable at that. One star off for it, but great headphones otherwise.
