Nux MG300 Guitar Modelling Processor Multi Effects Pedal
Nux MG300 Guitar Modelling Processor Multi Effects Pedal
Pre Effects Empowered by NUX TSAC-HD Technology
We've all experienced digital pre effects pedals that belong on the Wall of Shame -, especially Overdrive. Modellers of this kind used the linear algorithm which doesn't provide negative-feedback for dynamic playability. Enter the NUX MG-300, the modeller that will totally blow your mind! The pre-effect block beautifully recreates the awesome signature sound of real analog overdrive/distortion pedals
In 2010 NUX introduced TSAC (True Simulation of Analog Circuit) with the sole intention of bringing Amp Modeling to a whole new level. The DSP industry has been evolving at breakneck speed, and keeping up can be a challenge. Nux was impressed that a product like the Fractal® AX-FX had the foresight to use a high-definition TSAC (white-box) algorithm to do its Amp Modeling. So we took note and started development on an affordable modeller with TSAC-HD.
When you tweak the knob, it affects itself as well as other parameters. For a linear digital system, the parameter is independent. The white-box algorithm offers real negative-feedback, increment-by-increment. NUX TSAC-HD replicates the same playability most guitarists prefer in a real tube amplifier.
Building a sky-high priced product is easy. The art of building an affordable product is a real challenge.
Impulse Response for Cabinet Simulation
NUX is well-known for Impulse Response technology. Using IR is the most popular way to do cab simulation today. Why? Because the sound is noticeably more realistic compared to traditional cab simulation.
MG-300 offers a 512 sample resolution of an impulse response. You can load 3rd party IR files using NUX QuickTone edit software. ( MG-300 supports 48kHz Wav format. ) The built-in 25 cabinets IRs combine 4 classic microphones with 3 positions to allow beginners a quick and easy way to jump into the multi-effects experience.
Jam with the Drum Machine and Looper
MG-300 supports NUX Phrase Loop Synchronization with Rhythm - a breakthrough technology derived from the popular NUX Loop Core Stompbox and later the JTC Pro Drum & Loop. Every guitarist has his/her own funky way so a truly versatile drum & looper is indispensable. MG-300 has 8 rhythm styles, each style has 7 different beats. You can play the rhythm then record your phrase loop. MG-300 will automatically amend the phrase to fit the current rhythm BPM.
MG-300 offers 60s phrase loop recording time
Connect to NUX Quick Tone™, and you can easily tweak parameters, download patches, load 3rd party IRs, and even set up USB audio-stream routing. Quick Tone is an interactive edit software - when you tweak the Real knobs, you'll see your changes in real-time.
Customizable Expression Pedal
The Expression Pedal can be used to control the volume or effects.
- WAH: Controls the WAH filter.
- EFX: Controls GAIN (DRIVE) parameter of OD/DIST. Or controls PITCH parameter of PITCH BENDER.
- AMP: Controls LEVEL parameter of AMP.

Nux MG300 - Youtube and the RealityBy: Hugh Rafferty on 26 December 2020Well after a short play with this Nux MG300 unit, I'm still learning just how amazing this little box can sound. It has way more functions than I have had time to investigate, but the tones from it are truly amazing, and the price very good indeed. I saw many videos on Youtube, and that made my mind up for me, time after time the unit got rave reviews, yes it's maybe not as good as a few way more expensive products but for sheer fun, it's great.
NUX mg 300By: chris camilleri on 13 December 2020I recently purchased the NUX mg 3oo guitar effects processor. This processor has it all, great range of effects, amps, drum machine and a looper, easy to use interface and best of all a great price. At $220.00, you can't beat the value for money. Chris
StunningBy: Paul Clarke on 9 October 2020Simply stunning multi effects pedal. Has it all for such a small price. The sounds and box emulations are amazing. The presets are all fantastic and I find myself barely adjusting any of them, even though it's fully configurable. The drum machine option is great, and has numerous drum beats that all sound very professional and realistic. Also, it has a looper which I seem to be addicted to. I lay a few chords and spent hours improving over the top, I can't recommend this product highly enough. Well done NUX, and well done Artist guitars for bringing this model out online and at a very competitive price.
Amazing soundsBy: Paul on 9 October 2020I love this multi effects pedal. The sounds are magnificent. So much variation. I especially love the pre-configured sounds and patches. NUX has put a lot of thought into coming up with their realistic effects. I'd like it if the documentation was more detailed, but it's ok, just need to play around with it a bit. The Drum and looper are great, and I've had so much fun just creating loops and playing over the top. Spent hours on this. It really gets you to play guitar a lot more being able to create loops quick and easily and sounding so good.
Don't be fooled by quantity...By: Samuel on 7 October 2020Having owned the Mooer ge150 with it's never ending number of amps and effects I decided to give this NUX unit a try after watching some positive review online. First amp combo I tried was the tweed with the built-in Blu Driver pedal and that on its own convinced me I'd made the right choice and was worth the entry price on its own. The amp modeling in this unit is noticeably superior to what the Mooer unit offers and utilises TSAC-HD, the same modelling technology used by Fractal AX-FX which simulates the analog circuitry down to individual components instead of relying on what the programmer's ear hears. This results in far more dynamic responses to my picking and is a lot closer to what my real amp produces. The effects, although fewer, also benefit from this technology and it shows, if anything the difference in sound quality between this unit and the Mooer is even more pronounced in these models. The only criticism I can provide (I won't mention build-quality as this is a $200 unit) is that the cab simulations are what one would expect for units in this price range, BUT... IRs can be loaded and that takes care of the issue, and it supports files which have been sampled at higher rates than the Mooer (or competitors under $600). If the amp and effect you're after is included then it's a no brainer, especially at this price.
mg-300 modeling guitar processorBy: peter nutt on 1 October 2020this processor is out of this wold. can't believe the amount of pedals. 36 channels . amp simulators mic placement studio direct which will come in handy. jam. drum simulator. list just keeps going easy editing when changing pedals
