Featuring a gorgeous quarter-sawn roasted maple neck topped with a dark slab of genuine rosewood, a bone nut, and high-grade locking tuners, the Skyler is both functionally and aesthetically elegant. Having tested untold amounts of pickup options, we settled on a pair of high-end, hand-made humbuckers wound by the Laohao workshop, a small team producing low-quantity batches of custom pickups to a frankly unbelievable standard.
With a clear, bell-like high end and throaty mid-range, they have plenty of bite, and compress beautifully to produce rich harmonic distortion tones when pushed, while the push/pull pots allow for more strat-like single-coil tones when needed! Each Artist Skyler features copper shielding to ensure ground noise is kept to an absolute minimum, while a wheeled string tree and locking strap buttons take care of the little details for you. Strung from the factory with Ernie Ball® Regular Slinky 10-46 strings, from the moment it is born on the workbench to the moment of unboxing, the Artist Skyler is raring to be played!
