Artist LP59 Gold Top Left Handed Electric Guitar w/ P90 Pickups

The LP59GT90L features a Gold coloured top and two Cream "soapbar"-style P90 Pickups. These stacked P90 Pickups are coil-splitting, so using the push/pull control knobs they can be switched between normal P90s, and stacked, creating humbucker-like tones.

The Artist LP59GT90L guitar is a top-of-the-line guitar whether it be for gigging or recording and is definitely one of the best guitars on the market in relation to quality and price. This guitar has a great rock/ blues sound that easily produces that big fat fluid sound so typical of any top-end guitar of this style.

The African Mahogany body is finished off with a single-ply cream binding over carved poplar cap, with a very thin basswood venner that provides an ultra-smooth paint finish. The set neck is made of mahogany and features an eco-rosewood fretboard. The 22 fret neck is a comfortable "C" shape with trapezoid Mother of Pearl inlaid into the eco-rosewood fretboard. With the typical 24.75" scale length you are sure to bend notes as well as any blues or rock player going around.

The guitar is finished with an impressive Gold Top while the back is a clear polyurethane finish. It features deluxe hardware, with chrome locking tuners, a Tune-O-Matic Bridge with Roller saddles, and a Locking Stop Bar Tailpiece.

We also use the best electronic parts to reproduce the classic wiring configuration. 2 Volume and 2 Tone Control, standard 3-way toggle switch, Split Shaft 500K pots, 0.022uf ceramic capacitors and 1/4" Input Jack.

The factory strings are standard D'Addario EXL110 strings.

Another nice surprise!

By: on 15 March 2023
As with my previous buy from AG this little beauty turned up 6 days after placing the order (and that included a three day weekend). My buying experience was once again perfect ... effortless ... AG's fulfilment is spot on. The guitar itself is pretty impressive ... paint finish, frets (including nibs), hardware and packaging are all first rate. The neck feels good and it just seems to feel "right" in my hands. The nut seems well cut and the roller bridge saddles are a nice surprise. The guitar sounds a little less bright than I expected but it has that characteristic "classic clean" and "driven dirt" that P90s are known for. I bought this to complement my guitar collection and also as a bit of an experiment to see if this guitar can be considered value for money whilst at the same time being something you can play seriously. I really wanted a slightly different out-of-the-box sound when I'm multi-layering guitar tracks and this guitar really pops when placed alongside a Gibson LP in the mix. A test recording this morning had the Goldie jumping out of the mix with no effort and it is totally playable. I generally record my guitars through a Universal Audio Ruby into an Apollo Twin. The DI amp emulation gives me really noticeable transparency and the gold top shines when played through this rig. All in all, yes this is a great value for money guitar ... I really can't see the point in spending thousands of dollars on instruments where the value is totally tied to a classic brand name. Too many manufacturing variables these days. The only thing I have to make a comment about is that it's a shame the scratch plate was already fixed ... I don't like playing LPs with them and to remove this one will leave two noticeable holes. Other than that I'm happy.
