Artfully designed for the working musician, the all-new Artist Janus, much like the Roman god for which it is named, wears a pair of faces that can change with the wind (or in this case the touch of your hand). Though the thin, tiger-striped Okoume body and dual humbuckers evoke a normal, if slightly offbeat-looking electric guitar, a quick glance toward the slotted headstock and Purple Heart bridge begins to paint a very different picture...
With the master volume knob pushed in, the Janus is a rockin-and-rollin dual-humbucking electric guitar! Pull the same knob out, and the piezo pickup is engaged, capitalising on the hybrid hollowbody construction to transform the Janus into a rich-toned, amplified acoustic guitar! With a push-pull master tone knob for coil-splitting the magnetic pickups, a 3-way switch, and a preamp with volume, bass, and tone knobs, the Janus is capable of everything from an acoustic open mic to a stadium metal show!
As usual, we've decked out the Janus with all the touches you've come to expect from the Artist range! Featuring a Purple Heart fingerboard bound in dark walnut atop the Janus' comfortable C-shape Okoume neck, with a bone nut, bone saddle, and high-grade machine heads ensuring maximum tuning stability, the Janus looks and feels just as brilliant as it sounds! Perfect for the working musician with varied setlists, you can forget lugging around a host of different guitars for multiple tones - simply plug the Janus into an A/B box and out to both an acoustic amp/PA and an electric guitar amp, and switch between those soft acoustic numbers and ripping rock solos with the pull of a knob and a stomp of the foot!
