Great guitar, excellent value.

Artist call this an entry level guitar, but don't be fooled, this guitar is fully stage worthy. I have two of these, one in cherry sunburst and one in tobacco sunburst (I'll get the black one soon) The Artist LP60 is another member of the fantastic family of quality guitars from Artist. It feels great to play, sounds awesome plugged into a good amp. The neck pickup is fat and warm and the bridge pickup cuts like a knife, particularly at high gain. The frets are nice, even and well finished, no sharp edges. The neck feels smooth and slick with an accurate reproduction of a 1960 profile. The finish is definitely eye candy. All up, really good value for money. A real winner!

LP 60 Cherry sunburst, well done gentlemen.

By: Adam Henderson on 22 March 2020
G’day guy’s, just received my guitar & May I say, straight out of the box it was delicious looking, fit and finish was ,at this price point exceptional. I own a Gibson LP , have had high end Epiphones in the past. This guitar is as good as any Epiphone I have ever had if not better. Being a perfectionist, not that it needed it ,I found out.I had it professionally setup by a guy with over 40 years experience in the field, he was also blown away by the quality this instrument possessed out of the box, no string change no truss rod adjustments, frets are fine , raised the neck pickup a fraction and that was it. For a bloke in his 50’s that has seen a lot of poor quality guitars at this price floating around over the years, Artists Guitars should be commended for making top quality instruments available to everyone. I would highly recommend people consider these guitars, weather just starting out or a second, garage piece. Well done Artist Guitars. Cheers, Adam Hendo...

Outstanding!

Wan't something to do while self isolating? Pick up a musical instrument from a great Aussie based company and get creative. Can't recommend these guys highly enough, outstanding service and support, not to mention super quality at amazingly affordable prices. You don't need a Mega Brand to make beautiful music! ✌️

Bang for buck

By: Gary Potter on 9 February 2020
The LP60 is a budget guitar for those budget minded people also looking for a bargain. Well this guitar folks is by no means a budget guitar. The one I received is flawless in both construction and playability. I decided to purchase this guitar not for the extras that come with it, which are good by the way, but to see if it was worth the extra time and effort to upgrade it. The only upgrades I have made is to swap out the wilkinson pickups for the artist bullbuckers from a partscaster and new strings, Ernie ball 10-46 .Wow the difference in sound and tone is night and day. In the future I might upgrade the nut and electronics but for now the guitar is great. Out of the box a setup was required but very minimal. A couple of frets needed levelling and a polish. The fretboard was very dry but after a soaking with lemon oil it looks and feels fantastic. Intonation was very close but always need some attention. The neck is smooth and playable, not real chunky. Every thing about this instrument was outstanding. I can't really fault it other than the pickups. This is my 7th guitar from artist and not the last. I've said it before but this company for the non gigging players like myself, and I guess the pros to a certain degree is second to none in quality product and service. If you want a good base for a modding project, buy this guitar. I bought the cherry sunburst and I'm going to get the tobacco bufst as well. Thanks artist for making me spend my money in your store. No regrets.

Awesome guitar

By: Dave on 6 October 2019
Very impressed with this guitar, not sure how they can sell a guitar this good at the price, was very hesitant to take a gamble on buying without trying but the reviews were right. Machine heads stayed in tune and I'm a lead guitarist who bends a lot, action was perfect out of the box, had to adjust intonation but that's easy as, very curious about these M series Wilkinson's that came stock, couldn't find any info online must be new. High output pickups that I'm considering leaving in even though I planned on replacing them. I'm a gigging guitarist so I'm abit picky about sound so will be replacing pots for abit more clarity, stock ones are fine just a touch on the muddy side(or could be me coming from playing strats the past 5 years) wouldn't be a problem at all for a beginner or bedroom rock god, like I said I'm picky. For the price this instrument is amazing
