I already own 3 Artist guitars (Jumbo body Spruce top Lefty Acoustic, Dreadnought Cedar top Lefty Acoustic and Jumbo body 12 string Lefty Acoustic) and this will be my 4th... Being a left handed player it can be difficult to find let alone choose an instrument that gels with you. I've tried a few 'high end' guitars in music shops ($1000-$3000 range) and could never justify that kind of dough for a label or brand name. So I found Artist guitars, Aussie designed awesomeness! Anyway the Review: Freight/Packaging - Received in 6 days from Artist to Kangaroo Island SA in a cardboard box with big bubble wrap and paper around the strings to protect the frets. Great! Look/Finish of guitar - Beautiful matte finish all over make this baby really sing the way a guitar ought to, the spruce top looks and feels as good as any 'high end' instrument. Nice tidy headstock and the maple fretboard dot inlays are a nice touch. The sound hole rosette is beautifully done and the sapelle neck and body look sweet. Sound - Sweet highs and growling punchy lows make this beast fit for the purpose, better than $2000 guitars I've played - and I'm not joking. Thanks Artist for allowing a lefty to shine and buy confidently for myself online.
