Artist HL6 Blue Headless Electric Guitar & Bag

The latest in our range of headless electric guitars, the HL6 is a meticulously designed, ergonomic headless guitar that's sure to turn heads and ears alike! Ideal for intermediate players who thrive in rock, metal, and progressive genres, this guitar delivers the kind of playability and craftsmanship that enhances both technical skill and expression. Its sleek body contour ensures comfort during long sessions, while its headless design eliminates unnecessary weight, making it ideal for players who want better balance and ease of movement.

Featuring an eye-catching gloss white finish on a basswood-capped poplar body, it also sports a classic roasted maple bolt-on neck with a soft V-shape, and a 13.75-inch fretboard radius, making for a lightning-quick profile for those fast, sweeping runs. Due to the unique qualities of each piece of wood, the level of roast on each neck can vary.

The neck also has a 42mm plastic nut and a dual-action truss rod, with top-end nut access for easy adjustability. The dual humbucking pickups and three-way switch offer amazing tonal versatility, particularly in the heavier genres these guitars are known for. The guitar comes with D'Addario EXL110 strings, known for their bright tone and consistent performance, so you’re ready to hit the ground running as soon as you take it out of the bag.

Almost perfect for the money!

By: on 10 October 2024
I bought this guitar for travel and also because I wanted to try a headless. Overall this is a great guitar for the money the only let down was the string locking mechanism at the head. Otherwise it would have been 5/5 rating. Firstly the neck is superb. No sharp frets, smooth and easy to play. Sliding down the neck super smooth across the frets and back. The neck is a good modern C shape although I'd prefer a little thinner. The action out of the box was low and buzz free. The tuning is very stable and body is surprisingly resonant. Because of the small size and body shape you need to find the best position sitting down to get comfortable. No complaints on the pick ups for the money. The only down side is the headstock which is incredibly fiddly to re string. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, some instructions with the guitar would be useful. First you need to get the string in which is like threading a needle but then the string won't go through, it gets snagged. By accident I discovered that each of the two posts used to lock the string has a small ball bearing which popped out as I pulled the old string out. If you remove the ball bearings it's then much easier to get the string through, although still fiddly. Once the string is in put the ball bearing back in, fit grub screw and tighten. I think the process too around 40 mins but should be quicker next time.
