Invermay - Luis del Valle - The King of Guitars Music School

Raised in Victoria in a non-musical family, I developed a strong passion for music early on, teaching myself piano/keyboard, guitar, and bass during childhood. Throughout high school,  I performed in several bands, nurturing both my skills and love for collaborative music-making.

After graduating, I travelled to Europe and settled in London, where I enrolled at the University of Leeds School of Music. There, I majored in Composition, Theory, and Sacred Music. While living in London, I remained active in the music scene, performing as a synth and keyboard player in various bands throughout my studies.

Following university, I continued travelling, combining my love for performance and education by playing in bands and teaching music wherever I stayed for extended periods. My journey eventually led me to a career in healthcare, and I pursued Nursing studies, relocating to Tasmania — where I have lived for the past 25 years.

With retirement planned for 2026, I am now returning to my roots in music. I aim to give back to the community by teaching music, focusing primarily on guitar, and will be volunteering as a music teacher with the Department of Education. I look forward to inspiring the next generation of musicians and sharing the lifelong joy of music.

Currently, I teach beginner to intermediate guitar, bass guitar and keyboard/piano. Flexibility is the key, so it's not about exams or theory; it's about giving the student freedom to learn within their capabilities, interests and future goals.
