SHUBB S2 Deluxe Classical Nylon String Quick Change Guitar Capo
About this SHUBB S2 - Classical Nylon String Quick Change Guitar Capo
Crafted of solid stainless steel to resist nicks and scratches, this capo will look just as beautiful years from now as it does today. When the Shubb Capo was first introduced in 1980, capos were elevated to a whole new level. In 1998 the Shubb Deluxe pushed the envelope again.
Many people thought that the original Shubb could not be improved, but with the Deluxe we introduced upgrades in materials, design, geometry and ergonomics. It became the flagship product of our line. Still made in our shop in Missouri and assembled by our crew in California, as it always has been.

Quality Shubb productBy: Alan on 26 June 2018Shubb are (quite deservedly) well known for their capos — I own a number of them, covering acoustic-electric, 12-string, uke, and even some "partial" capos — and now this S2 for my classical guitar. Construction is robust, and the "roller" design makes adjustment relatively easy. My only small criticism (hence the 4 stars, rather than 5) is that the rubber "sleeve" that extends across the strings is only j-u-s-t wide enough (at about 5.5 cm) for my classical — yes, it works, but you need to be careful when fitting it in a hurry that both your top and bottom strings are properly clamped under the capo. If they'd made it, say, 0.5 cm wider, it would have been perfect, and certainly more practical for quick application in a performance environment.
SHUBB S2 Deluxe Classical Nylon String Quick ChanBy: TONY on 14 June 2018A great product. Easy to position and remove.
An Excellent CapoBy: Trevor on 24 November 2017Getting just the right amount of downward pressure is so nice, and it beats the fiddliness of the Dunlop with its predetermined settings and the spring-clamp style ones that have no adjustment at all. This, however, is now my goto capo, and I will be buying 2 of the steel string ones to replace my Dunlops and the large clamp style one I have. Try one. You'll love it.
Shubb S2 Deluxe capo - the best by far...By: David on 12 November 2016Wow I didn't think the Shubb could be improved upon, but it has. The newer design with the roller instead of the old sliding thingy is just superb. I know, they've done that for a while now, but my old Shubb still works a treat and I've never needed a replacement. I only bought a new one for a new classical guitar I just got. Am I glad I did! It locks in effortlessly, unlocks just as easily and yet is firm and positive when in use. Plus the minimal design makes it by far the best I've ever used. I put it well back from the fret (almost half-way between) to minimise string damage and keep the guitar in tune. And it doesn't get in the way of my hand at all, and it doesn't look like a lobster grabbed your guitar neck... All in all, Shubb you've outdone yourself! And Artist guitars have them at a very competitive price, with free shipping. Too good guys!
