About this Pedal

With a powerfully adjustable 3 band EQ, the Joyo Extreme Metal pedal provides a strong bottom end with a clear and transparent high frequency.  The boost switch will let you cut through the mix when you're ready to rip out that blistering solo.

This has a normal bypass method (it's not true bypass). The super tough aluminium alloy casing will last for years.

Good solid pedal

Strong enough to handle the biggest metal heads. Fits in with my other pedals well.

Another great buy from artist

This's pedal does what it says on the box. It sounds great and looks the part to. Artists shipping is great.

I was looking for a nice heavy and versatile distortion pedal. I had bought another item from Artist Guitars so thought I would check out their range of pedals. I saw this mean black looking thing called "Extreme Metal", I thought wow, the look and the name alone nearly has me sold. Then the price, $45 delivered. I thought no way would this be any good. However, I was intrigued so I jumped on the net, read some reviews and watched some clips on youtube. This thing looked and sounded really cool with no real negative words said about it ... so I figured for the price, I could not go wrong. So I ordered and paid for the pedal and it arrives less than 48 hours later, right in time for the weekend. I unplugged all my other pedals and hooked this bad boy up (I play through a Marshall MG30FX with a 2008 Schecter Tempest Classic Diamond Series). All I can say is that I was immediately impressed. To start with I had all the settings half way, sounded cool, tweaked it here and there and soon realised that this thing has a huge range. In under an hour I worked out some settings for a few of my favourite metal bands, the usuals like Metallica, Pantera, Lamb of God etc ... then I played with the settings a bit more and got some nice sounds for AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine and Black Label Society ... I was even able to get a nice warm bluesy sound out of it. For the price and what you really do get, I cannot recommend this pedal enough. I am sure there are some better pedals out there for better players than me, however this little box is metal enough for me.
