About These Strings

Pro-Arte, the world's most popular classical strings are D'Addario's premium classical guitar string sets. All Pro-Arte treble strings are sorted by a sophisticated computer-controlled laser machine which performs diameter and tension measurements, ensuring true-sounding, precise trebles in every set. Pro-Arte basses are wound using silver-plated copper on a multi-filament nylon core for consistent and warm, yet projecting tone.

All D'Addario strings are precisely wound around a hexagonally shaped high-carbon-steel core wire by computer-controlled machines guaranteeing clear intonation, rock-solid fundamentals, and incomparable consistency in every string. The tight core tension produced through this rigorous quality-controlled process results in a harmonically rich, longer-lasting string.

In lockdown people DO try new (or long forgotten)

By: on 11 June 2020
Bought some nylon strings for the first time in years, and I have to say I'm absolutely loving the old/new sound. I did some research online and went with artistguitar because they promised free, quick shipping and I'm a convert. Will be a return customer for sure.

Classical Guitar Strings

By: on 16 August 2014
These are the best nylon strings that I have ever used. They sound great and last for ages. I've played nylon stringed classical guitars for over 30 years and usually never get more than a couple of months use before the wound strings (E,A & D) start fraying. I've got sets of Pro Arte EJ46 on all my classical guitars including my 'basher' that everyone hammers with plectrums etc and they've lasted for almost a year.
