Artist TC59 TC Style Electric Guitar with Bullbucker Pickups

The Artist TC 59 TC  style guitar has certainly been a long time in the development phase but as the saying goes, "good things come to those who wait" and the TC 59 is finally here and a "good thing" it certainly is!

Combining vintage styling with contemporary appointments, the TC59 is a worthy addition to the Artist Guitars brand offering everything that you could want in a TC style guitar without the hefty price tag.

Sporting Artist's in-house designed and manufactured "Bull Bucker" humbucking pickups, the range of sound possibilities that can be achieved from the '59 whether it be jazz, blues, rock or country, is quite astounding. The "Bullbuckers" are a fantastic pickup in their own right and are starting to make some very positive noise amongst guitar players but when they are combined with the TC59's Swamp Ash body and the vintage style maple neck you have an absolutely outstanding guitar package.

The modern bridge which allows for each string's intonation to be adjusted separately guarantees that you can set your guitar up to its optimal level - such a necessary and useful innovation.

To top it all off this wonderful little axe has locking machine heads which make sure that tuning is never far from perfect.

Check this little beauty out! It is well worth the effort - you won't be disappointed!!!

I had high hopes for this guitar. I usually drive a '74 Tele Deluxe in my band, but wanted a good second guitar with a similar sound, and also for my son to use in our band in which I play bass. Having 100 days to decide if it's right is a sure winner. While the sound is a bit of a stretch from my Deluxe - the TC59 is brighter but less warm. Mind you, that's no complaint just an observation. Right outta the box I thought it was cool. Only thing I did was drop the action a little. I had been thinking of a Squier Tele for close to double the price, but the "bull-buckers" are what sold me on the TC59; that was why I bought my Deluxe originally - love the Tele neck and design, just not a big single coil fan and the Deluxe (as does the TC59) has Humbuckers front and back. The thing that amazed me most about it was that it REALLY FEELS LIKE A TELE. We absolutely love it!! Nice touch having the single coil option for the bridge pickup; however hardware-wise the only thing I didn't really like was the String-Lock Machine Heads. The Machine heads are great and it stays in tune like a trooper, however the string locks are IMHO just superfluous. I won't deduct points for them though as I guess they're handy especially if you haven't had much experience changing strings. Overall a superlative guitar! I'm giving it the full 5/5 because even though it's not as good as a couple of guitars I own, It makes up for it with it's bargain price. That omitted and I'd give it 4/5. Versatile. Chunky or twangy sound and a real joy to play.

Superb

By: Alan on 23 August 2019
I've owned (and do own) a lot of guitars, some of them costing thousands. This TC59 ranks up there with the best of them, even "real" Fenders like the Mexican Tele. Maybe the top pros can tell the difference but, for the average player, this one absolutely does the job. Good finish, good set-up, superb tone, great playability. I could rave on with lots of superlatives, but I'll simply say this — at twice, even three times, the price, the Artist TC59 would still be a bargain!

Delightful Surprise !

By: Warren Catt on 15 August 2019
Just about the best value for money I have come across. Good woods, all the hardware works well and the pickups are great. The setup was very playable from the get go but I highly recommend a trip to your favourite luthier for tweak and setup.

I want more!

By: Reuben Dinneen on 14 August 2019
I have never played such a nice guitar for this kind of money. The fact that they're selling out so fast should tell you everything you need to know. I play everything from low tuned metal to ambient meditation music. This guitar does it all, best coil split I've ever heard at this price point. The pickups sound like a Duncan JB/59 set (maybe the reason for the nomenclature?), but on a Tele. I'm in love!!
