Artist LP60 Tobacco Sunburst Electric Guitar with Accessories

This Electric Guitar is used for various styles of music, most notably all the styles of Rock, Blues and Metal. All our Artist LP guitars have a Set Neck for superior sustain and tone, unlike a lot of similar priced guitars on the market that usually have a bolt-on neck.

Note: the 'Set Neck' design on any guitar type always gives superior SUSTAIN and TONE over a 'Bolt-on Neck' design... (This is why Metal heads the world over play only set neck guitars).

This is a full size guitar perfect for Adults, recommended for Children over the age of 12 (or younger if your child is strong and taller than 1.2m)

It includes all accessories you need to get started:

  • LP60 Electric Guitar
  • Electronic Guitar Tuner
  • Strap
  • Bag
  • Lead
  • Picks

Some of its Great Features:

It has a mahogany neck with rosewood fret board, a 2 way truss rod (which means you can adjust the neck up or down)

The body is made of mahogany body, for that warm sound you'll love, and it has a maple tiger stripe veneer for good looks.  To top it off we've added the classic-look cream pick guard.

Two Wilkinson humbuckers for a great classic rock and metal tones!

It has a Tune-O-Matic style fixed bridge (common in most LP guitars) & die-cast machine heads that will help you stay in tune longer and make your tuning easier.

A free guitar lesson (check out our website for times and locations - sorry not all locations are currently covered - contact us if your area is not covered).

We include a range of support materials from how to tune, how to read tab, basic chord shapes and more.

You also get the highly developed G4 Guitar Method.

Went to the factory to purchase this guitar, Heath was on duty and was very helpful and friendly. He knew his stuff and I walked out with a new Les Paul. Great guitars and great service.

Sunburst LP60 Factory Second

By: on 9 April 2017
In the past I have tended to go for the more expensive "name" brand guitars and accessories but was intrigued with the LP60 and the reviews it had. I had always desired a Les Paul Gibson style guitar, so for the price, I took the plunge and bought a factory second. What a pleasant surprise this instrument is. There is no doubt about the quality of this item; even as a "2nd" I couldn't find anything obviously wrong with it. It's as good as a top quality LP60 or (maybe) an LP59. Delivery was excellent. It took about a week to get to my part of the country but I was able to track its progress without any trouble. The free delivery from Sydney to my part of Queensland by courier was also great. I've played around with it now for about 2 weeks and have used it at concert for the Senior Citizens in our town and am very impressed with it. I have two Fender amps, a mustang 3, which is almost new, and a 18 year old Fender Deluxe 112. It sounds great through both amps but has a sweeter sound through the 112. I also put it through an equaliser pedal and that also helped the sound. On a personal note, I changed out the stings for a set of Gibson Electric 9 - 42 (my preference for size) and this improved the sound noticeably. This is no criticism of the original strings; I just prefer Ernie Ball super slinkies or equivalent. I also checked the setup with Gibson specs and found that this guitar is set to Gibson specs and no change was necessary. Impressive! The pickups are okay. I was told that they are a "generic" Wilkinson pickup which I interpret as being lower end of the range of Wilkinsons. I may be wrong with that assumption. They sound okay but I am already considering changing out the pickups at some time for items of known quality for tonal improvement but I can live with these for the near future. My overall impression is that as a stock standard guitar, it more than holds it's own with nearly anything on the market in that general price range and even compared with more expensive items. If one can afford it and if one is a tinkerer, different pickups and Gibson/Ernie Ball strings or equivalent will improve the sound no end. But one doesn't have to do that to enjoy what is an excellent guitar for the price. I'm very happy with it. I'm sure you will be also.

LP60 Bk What do you expect of a LP copy?

By: on 15 June 2016
From Artist Guitars I expect a good instrument that will do a job in keeping with its price tag and reputation for providing value for money for every item I have purchased. The LP60 delivers this. There is a guitar of this type which is promoted as the flagship of the Artist LP range (the LP59) - and I suspect is a little better finished off in tone and finish. (I would love to compare the 2 guitars side by side...) But the LP60 does not disappoint me. It looks great... it feels great under the fingers and when the settings are right on effects, it has a rich tone. I have another guitar which is a telecaster type guitar, and I wanted a guitar that had a thicker texture - esp for distorted effects. This guitar does a quite satisfactory job. And then for other cleaner effects without distortion it sounds great - esp as a lead guitar doing melodic lines. As a rhythm guitar one needs to experiment a little to find a patch and settings that offer clarity - but it is there. If you want a great value electric guitar that will do a job for you and you are a bit short on coin, try this out - it will serve you well while you are saving up for your next level up. But you won't throw this out afterwards, for it will remain good value as your other guitar with its own voice...
