Artist GNOSIS6FR Blue Cloud Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose

The first Artist guitar to feature a Floyd Rose tremolo system, the GNOSIS6FR is a variant of our popular GNOSIS6 Model. This guitar is ideal for those interested in the heavier side of music. The popularity of ST style guitars has surged in the last 20 years, being adopted as an icon of the hard rock and metal scenes. If you love heavier music, this is the guitar for you.

The GNOSIS6FR is a 6 string, ST style guitar with a Floyd Rose Special Tremolo system and locking nut. Featuring a poplar body with a beautiful, quilted maple top and a Canadian maple neck with an Eco-Rosewood, 24 fret fingerboard. With a set-neck and deep cutaway, the GNOSIS6FR allows easy access to all 24 frets. It is designed with your need to achieve ultimate sustain and it delivers! This guitar excels at drop tuning by retaining a tight low end.

It also has a special combination of two Medium-High output Neck Humbucker and Bridge Humbucker. This means that you can switch from fluid Neck Pickup solo runs and warm clean sounds to the more hardcore crunching rhythms and shred guitar solos obtained from the impressive Bridge Pickup.

Artist GNOSIS6FR Blue Cloud Electric Guitar Review

By: on 27 February 2021
I'v had this guitar for a while now and I feel I have a good enough understanding to give my feedback. The blue cloud body looks so much more amazing in person than online and the gloss finish makes it resemble a calm blue sea. The black hard ware goes great with the body not standing out to much to take away from its beauty. The binding is a sort of off white colour which looks ok but I personally would have preferred a pure white binding. There are some little blemishes I noticed such as the line between the binding and the blue cloud top being a bit receding in some spots. Also the control cavities are unpainted which means there is a visible line of unpainted wood around the control cavity lid. This would be an easy problem to fix by just painting the cavities. If you bought this guitar to play fast you will want to lower the action quiet a bit as it makes the instrument way easier to play. The neck has a gloss finish on it which surprizingly doesnt make the neck sticky or hard to play. In fact it's better than some guitars with satin neck finishes I'v played. There are no sharp frets and no fret buzz if set up correctly. I noticed my finger tips ended up black after playing for a bit which aparently happens alot with new guitars. I think it has something to do with the metal of the frets and not the black fret board but im not sure. This problem has since stopped happening over time. I'v heard that floyd rose specials have some tuning stability problems but I havent found any major problems so far, maybe just the low E going a bit flat after alot of whammy bar stuff. The pickups are pretty good, the locking nut is good, the tuners are ok but you wont have to rely on them much. Overall an amazing guitar especially for only $299. Amazing job Artist Guitars!

Amazing guitar - excellent presentation and qualit

I have to say, that I am increasingly impressed with the quality of Artist guitar instruments, I already own their telecaster 59 model (TC59) and was really happy with the build quality and tone of that guitar. I recieved my GNOSIS6 with floyd rose very quickly and packaged well. The neck is nicely finished with no sharp frets and a nice medium (modern) C neck profile. Will see how the floyd rose goes as this is my first FR guitar, so far tunes up well and stays in tune reasonably well after a bit of playing. The tuners are chunky looking and have a sensitive gear ratio which makes fine tuning a breeze. The switches and knobs are top quality. The pickups are decent and are medium output, perfect for most types of music. I like the bridge pickup voicing which is sweet sounding. The action needed a slight setup to suit my taste but they have set it up from the factory to be fairly playable out of the box. I can't believe how low the price was for such a beautiful instrument, this has instantly become my favourite guitars and is equivalent in quality to my schecter hellraiser C1 2009 model. Thanks Artist guitars, very happy with my purchase.

Impressed

Have had this guitar for a few weeks now and can say the build quality is great. It is on par with guitars costing 5 times as much. It came pretty well set up and only needed some minor adjustments for my style. The neck is nice and straight and the frets are nice and level, no buzz or flat spots at all. The finish is also impressive and it looks awesome. the pickups are really good for heavy metal styles, at this price I was expecting them to be fairly ordinary but they aren't too bad. The neck PU was a little thin sounding too me but that comes down to taste not quality. The bridge is the Floyd Rose special model and works as you would expect. The only negative I have is the tuners, they are cheap plastic units and feel a bit rough. Easy to replace, and once tuned and locked down you hardly use them anyway. Over all, I'm impressed. This will be replacing my current ibanez as my main gigging guitar and I'll definitely look at other models Artist have in the future.

Artist GNOSIS6FR Blue Cloud Electric Guitar with F

This guitar is a steal for the price. The online pictures don't do it justice. The finish is so beautiful. After a quick set up and tuning this guitar plays unbelievably amazing. I can not recommend Artist Guitars enough, I have previously bought Indominus 8 and Spiritus 7 guitars. All three guitars are astonishingly high quality for their price. Thank you so much Artist Guitars keep up the great work. Cheers Rod K
