Important Footswitch information

When Loop core is plugged into footswitch in input A:
Footswitch acts as either stop/start loop function or Tap tempo if used before recording

When Loop core is plugged into footswitch in input B&A:
Footswitch will act as a phrase selector - allowing you to change between pre saved loops using A to go down and B to go up.

If you want to change between these functions you need to turn off your looper and plug into chosen input while footswitch is off.

Impressed with customer support

By: on 19 March 2019
Hello again, I wanted to post an update to my last review (see below). I contacted Artist Guitars with my query about how to set and use the NMP-2 dual footswitch in conjunction with the Loop Core Deluxe. I was called back by Ian from Artist Guitars, who went to the trouble of setting up the same pedal at his end, and working through the process with me on the phone. Very impressed with this level of customer support. Very much obliged, Ian.

A little help, guys?

By: on 11 March 2019
I've just started with the looper, and I'm loving the Nux Loop Core Deluxe so far, but need some guidance for using the NMP-2 dual footswitch. I'm confused about which mode to set it on, - latch/open/close. I'm having no problems using it simply to switch up or down between patches, but how do I set it up to use it to stop playback, and how do I use it to tap tempo? Can it only do one or the other (i.e. switch patches up/own, OR stop, OR tap tempo)? Also, and I know this sounds basic, but if I don't plug in a power supply into the NMP-2, it functions fine as a switch up/own, but the A/B lights don't work. When I do plug in a power supply the A/B lights work, but the pedal behaves/functions differently (and confusingly). I've found the User Manual no help with these issues. Any help from you guys would be appreciated!

NUX Loop Core Deluxe

A great Looping Station. Works in a similar way to Boss RC3, which I also have. I need 2 looping stations for what I do. Comes with a control switch which is a real bonus....just one foot click to turn it off.....need to be careful to set it up so it does switch off with one click. It's all explained in the instructions. It was about $150 cheaper than the Boss. It's da one dudes! Can recommend highly.

Excellent looper at a good price

By: on 22 December 2018
While I’m a reasonably-experienced guitarist/bassist with heaps of instruments and pedals, I’ve never been motivated to get into loopers, primarily because integrating them into a band environment, while possible, is potentially problematic. However, I decided it was time I at least played with one at home, just to explore the possibilities. After a lot of online research, it seemed that Boss might be the way to go, with the RC-3 my preference price-wise. However, I also kept seeing very positive references to the Nux Loop Core (particularly this Series 2 model), and it seemed like it was at least as capable as the RC-3 (and in some areas, more so e.g. 8 hours recording vs. 3 hours), and at less $$$. Anyway, my many experiences buying from Artist told me that this was a no-risk investment (I could always send it back if it turned out to be lousy), hence this purchase ….. Initial set-up was straightforward, and I recorded my first loop within 10 minutes of unpacking. Yes, hitting the right buttons at the right times needs constant reference to the manual first-up, but a little application to the task starts to see the fog clear. Within an hour, I’d experimented with a rhythm/bass/lead track all overdubbed, and the sound quality was surprisingly good. I’ve been playing with it only a few days, so I still have more to learn, but my impressions are all positive thus far, and I consider this a good-value purchase. Build quality is robust, and of course this package also includes the NuX NMP-2 footswitch (together with a TRS cable for connecting the two units). ….. Criticisms? To be honest, the documentation leaves a little to be desired. For example: the Mode Switches on the NMP-2 have three different positions, but which to use? The NMP-2 manual says: “Refer to the manual for the device you’re connecting”, but the Loop Core manual doesn’t explicitly mention what the appropriate settings might be, so it’s a case of experimentation. And, as a minor niggle, I do wonder at a design decision that provides for both battery and mains power to the Loop Core, but only mains power to the accompanying footswitch — why not a battery option for each? ….. But, as I say, those are only minor whinges and, overall, this is a very capable unit with loads of possibilities, at a competitive price when compared with the looper field in general. Recommended.
