Artist LP59 Translucent Black Electric Guitar w/ Bullbucker Pickups

The Artist LP59TRB is our top-of-the-line guitar. whether it be for gigging or recording, this is one of the best guitars on the market in relation to quality and price. This guitar has a great rock/ blues sound that easily produces that big fat fluid sound so typical of this style of instrument.

The African Mahogany body is finished off with a single-ply cream binding over carved poplar cap, with a 5A Tiger Maple venner providing the awesome flamed finish. The set neck is made of mahogany and features an eco-rosewood fretboard. The 22-fret neck is a comfortable "C" shape with trapezoid Mother of Pearl inlaid into the eco-rosewood fretboard. With the typical 24.75" scale length you are sure to bend notes as well as any blues or rock player going around.

The guitar is finished with an impressive Translucent Black while the back is a clear polyurethane finish. The deluxe hardware consists of chrome locking tuners, Tune-O-Matic Bridge with Roller saddles, and a locking Stop Bar Tailpiece.

We install our signature coil-splitting Artist Bullbucker pickups, which have a creamy smooth sound on the neck pickup while the bridge pickup breaks up nicely with no harsh upper mids. They are both vintage-moderate output pickups. An added feature is that both pickups offer coil splitting which guarantees that this guitar will deliver a wide range of tonal options.

We also use the best electronic parts to reproduce the classic wiring configuration. 2 Volume and 2 Tone Control, standard 3-way toggle switch, Split Shaft 500K pots, 0.022uf ceramic capacitors and 1/4" Input Jack.

The factory strings are standard  D'Addario EXL110 strings.

Artist LP59 Trans Black Electric Guitar - Man what

By: on 10 January 2023
I went to Artist shop in Sydney to see the quality of the the Artist LP59. I was blown away by the Trans Black, had great colour and then whisked it away home, hooked up to a Fender champion 100 Series Amp and was totally stoked with the quality sound from this guitar. I must say, instant love and it feels so good, sounds great and looks fantastic. The service from Artist was second to none. Thanks

Great product, great service

By: on 29 December 2022
Got this for my son as a guitar to learn on that he could grow with. Having tried to learn on a cheap guitar myself, I know how hard it can be when the equipment makes it that bit harder. Watched a ton of reviews and went ahead and purchased it with no hesitation. Turned out to be a great decision. Great quality, great feel and from what I can tell great sound. I don't actually play myself but have been around guitars most of my life and this feels up there with the higher end guitars I've held and played around on. Looks awesome as well. I'd say even an experienced guitarist would be impressed with what this guitar offers.

A Real Beauty

By: on 10 September 2022
Wow! I'm blown away by how nice this guitar is. It not only looks beautiful but plays beautifully. It looks and feels like a guitar you'd expect to cost way more than it does. Straight out of the box the action and intonation needed no adjustment. I love the variety of tones the bullbucker pickups with push-pull knobs produce. The feel of the neck and fretboard under the fingers is very nice and makes me want to keep picking it up. This is my first Artist guitar but is the fourth electric guitar I currently own. My favourite amongst those until I got this guitar was my PRS SE Custom 24, but this Artist guitar is on a par with it in terms of playability (and looks). The only imperfections were that the body had a few manufacturing blemishes , and the frets required smoothing off, as they produced a scratchy sound while bending strings. By the time I smoothed them off the scratching sound had almost disappeared after a couple of weeks of playing, anyway. I contacted Artist Guitars regarding the blemishes and their customer service was exemplary, with Molly offering either replacement or a discount. I'd fallen in love with the guitar by then, so I opted to keep it. I've now placed an order for my second Artist Guitar (LP59GT90) and I've got a feeling that won't be my last!

Great Value for the Price

By: on 9 January 2022
Great build and sound / trimmings for the price tag. Finish is better than expected as well. Some setup love required out of the box, but even taking it to a tech will overall be less than half the price than an equivalent in a 'name brand'.

LP59TRB

By: on 20 August 2021
Great value at price point. The hardware is what you would expect for the price, the frets need a crown/polish and the instrument could use a set up. A few minor modifications and it would be very playable!

Artist Guitars Response
Thanks a lot for your honest feedback on the guitar. We really appreciate it.

Win, win for guitarists. .

Artist Guitars continue to raise the 'bar' for excellence in its products. I bought a LP59TRB, the finish is stunning. I checked the action, intonation and tuning and they were only a fraction out... no probs, it proves that quality control is present. Next playability and neck I am very pleased, the 'Bull Bucker' pick ups sound great clean, played with distortion, delay and reverb (Joyo and Nux) is classic rock, use the pick up coil splitting and have more tones. I have three guitars from Artist Guitars and look forward to my next purchase. Didn't mention 'value for money' you get plenty for your'bucks'

Amazing quality & value

By: on 19 November 2020
I decided I wanted to start learning the guitar, and after seeing several reviews on the LP59 I decided this looked like a great guitar, but was awaiting arrival of stock. I couldn't see any other option I could find that came close to it for features, look and value for money, so place it on back order. It arrived after waiting for months, but so worth it. The LP59 in translucent black is even better than I expected it. The finish, quality, features & sound is amazing, and value for money. I am so pleased with my LP59 from when I first saw it opening the great hard case I ordered it with, and even more impressed once I plugged it into play. Couldn't wait to share my pleasure in owning this, and I posted photos of it on the guitar and Spark amp Facebook pages I am now a member of. I also have bought a TC59, so I can personally say Artist Guitars make an amazing product, and great value, with the LP59 cream of the crop. The team at Artist are very professional, helpful, and customer service others should strive to match. I'd grate it more stars if I could.
