Artist DS120 Acoustic Guitar Solid Spruce Top Dreadnought
A great value Dreadnought Size Solid Top Acoustic Guitar. The built-in chromatic tuner is really handy. Its beautiful North American Solid Sitka Spruce top will only sound better with age. While this is our most basic solid top guitar the matt finish gives it a great sound.

Great quality
By: Steven Frew on 14 August 2019Ok, so I am not a great guitar player in fact I would say that I am below average. My gigs consist of me playing and singing with an acoustic guitar only and no amplification whatsoever (Makes setting up and packing up a breeze). Currently I only have one acoustic guitar which is a Maton Dreadnought (doesn't everybody have a Maton) of which I love, but...…. I wanted a backup. I have bought other Artist guitars in the past (only electric) and also an electric drumkit and have always been very happy with the quality of Artist products, but was a bit dubious of buying an acoustic guitar from them. So when I first got the guitar and found that it was set up perfectly and had a great sweet sound I was surprised and happy. TO ME, the sound is not as sweet as a Maton (of course) but close. I would be happy to use this guitar instead of the Maton when I play because of its clear sound sound and ease of play (oh......and the price).

DS120
By: Peter Barns on 20 July 2019I don't claim to be any more than a very average player but I do know what a good guitar sounds like. I wanted a cheapish acoustic to play around with and did consider buying a "popular" brand used guitar. After thoroughly researching and much online price comparing I decided to gamble on a new Artist DS120. My first pleasant surprise was the EOFY discount that I hadn't planned meaning I was paying under $240 for a guitar that I would have been happy with had I paid 4x that amount, and I have owned 2 guitars in that price range. Beautiful tone and beautifully made, promptly delivered "and" covered by warranty. Nice one Artist, I am now a big fan.

Pleasantly Surprised
By: Adam on 18 December 2013So, I bought this guitar as a 'demo' model that had been marked down to $150 posted. Admittedly, I was not counting on much, after all, how much would you expect for $150? The guitar arrived in the post and I can honestly say this is a lot of guitar for the money, even if I had not bought a demo model, I still would have been very impressed. Overall, the satin finish is very nice to the touch and on the eye. Tuners are high quality and frets, fret board neck etc are all exactly what you would expect on a guitar costing several times what this one costs. Now, to the good part, the playing. I freely admit to being an ordinary guitarist, however I have played some nice guitars and this one compared very favourably. Setup and action is very good and it sounds fanatastic, loud but not harsh with a lot of flexibility instyles. I would classify this as a very playable sweet sounding guitar with a big voice. I am a convert to Artist guitars products now, if this is what thier base model plays like then the more expensive (but still very affordable) solid wood models can only be better? If you are looking to get a dreddy and want a nice starter guitar you could do a lot worse than buying one of these.
